In a DWM modern AU, if Silco, Astrid, and Jinx had a shared Netflix account, what would each of their favorite shows be?

Hmmmm that's a tricky one. There are probably several answers that would fit, but I'll go with these for now:

Silco: Peaky Blinders

Astrid: Gilmore Girls

Pre-teen Jinx: Myth Busters

Older teen Jinx: Squid Game

You capture Silco's way of speaking and acting so beautifully. I can totally imagine him being exactly like that. did you do a lot of character studies or how did you translate him so well?

Thank you! <3 To be honest with you, I have gone back and made a few very minor Silco dialogue changes in DWM over the past year or two, just to refine him - so he won't read exactly the same now as he did when I posted originally.

I think that to write a convincing character (including OCs) you need to know and understand them inside and out. You need to be able to answer any possible question about them. And I don't mean this in a canon trivia 'mega-fan' way - you may give different answers to other people, but you need to know the correct answer for your interpretation. I also like to watch some clips of the character I'm writing for before sitting down for a writing session just to get me in the right mindset. From there, I find it's a case of double checking my work simply by envisioning what I've written in my mind's eye. If it feels wrong, or clunky, or I can't really adequately picture him doing or saying what I've written, then that means I need to alter what I've written.

I remember reading that you said during the time Silco and Astrid were separated, there was one night when Sevika found him drunk and had to drag him to bed and give him a bit of a reality check. Do you have any other little moments like that from that period?

Hahaha very well remembered! Yes, Sevika did find him alone and drunk in his bathtub one Friday night and had to haul him out and put him to bed.

And yes, I do have other little moments from that time in my head. For example...

The time Silco had a nightmare in which he came down into the club to find Marcus and Astrid in flagrante delicto on the bartop

The time Silco visited a brothel in an attempt to 'cleanse his palette'

The time Silco thought he saw Astrid in the street and gave chase, only to be set upon by a would-be assassin

The time(s) Silco would visit the river and stand silently at the balustrade in the spot where they had once shared a cigarette together...

Do you play video games, Inky? Do you have an all-time favorite?

Very much so! I've always been a big gamer and it's pretty much how I like to spend any free time. It's hard to pick an all-time favourite because there are soooo many games I've played over the years that I adore for different reasons, but some of my current top picks are:

Final Fantasy XIV (My current game of choice - I spend far too much time on it)

RDR2 (Haven't yet played 1, but I have it ready for when the mood strikes)

Legend of Zelda (I'm a huge LoZ fan. My favs are probably Majora's Mask, Ocarina of Time, Link Between Worlds, BOTW and TOTK)

BG3 (Astarion..... Gale.......)

Skyrim (Always a classic)

Do you have any plans to create a new silco fanfic?

A full, multi-chapter fic? No, I'm afraid not. I couldn't possibly pair him with anyone other than Astrid anymore. I did think that I might be inspired to write a young Silco fic when season 2 came out, but they flubbed it so hard that any young Silco writing boner I might have had all but turned itself inside out.

However, I definitely plan to continue writing bonus DWM content when I can, and wouldn't rule other general Silco one-shots out either.

Out of all the DWM chapters, which one do you think would be the most interesting to explore from Silco’s point of view?

Oh definitely chapter 15. Silco's head was an absolute mess during those three months apart from Astrid, plus the increased risk to his personal safety during that time didn't make navigating his heartbreak any easier.
