We all know there’s a new booster gold show being planned. We ALSO know that the Blue Beetle movie was kind of ass and not part of the Gunn universe.

WHAT IF (stay with me) Ted Kord was in the Booster Gold show and ended up dying at the end (sorry Kord fans) and there was an end credits with Jaime picking up the scarab. This could set up a whole Reach invasion plot line in the future.

Ok so this is very loosely based off of the Young Justice universe but without the whole Bart time traveling to save Jaime.

Basically it revolves around the idea that Jaime slowly lost control of the scarab (a year and half into being a hero). The scarab didn’t necessarily take control by working for the reach but rather just making decisions that Jaime wouldn’t and putting people in danger. My girl Amanda Waller caught sight of this after an accidental attack from the scarab in the titans tower and brought Jaime in. The next part I highkey don’t know because I haven’t thought abt it but the Reach came to earth and since Jaime was already in custody and not protected by a team like the Teen Titans, the Reach was able to take and reprogram the scarab to work for them and that’s pretty much the reason they won. In this uni, the Blue Beetle is less of a “dictator” and more of a weapon. In young justice he’s shown talking and having a personality and stuff but in this he’s kind of just a way to keep people in line. He was also used to kill certain hero’s.

OK so this next part is not canon or not related to canon at all but it’s a fun little idea I put together cause i love Jaime’s character so much and we can’t end this badly 😝

50 years later into the reach invasion, Jaime manages to escape from where he is held (he’s not blue beetle 100% of the time because the scarab is still malfunctioning and they have to like reprogram it sometimes and shit idk) and runs into a small rebel group. He’s the same age cause the scarab freezes his age (think Bucky Barnes idk I just didn’t want to make him an old man bear with me). A lady in the rebel group (named rose) decided that despite the fact he was the Blue Beetle she was gna help him get back to himself because he lowkey reminds her of her dead son (killed by blue beetle ofc 🙂‍↕️) he helps them to eventually take down the reach. Redemption arc stuff I suppose.

That last paragraph doesn’t make sense it’s ok but that’s the idea 😛😛
