One of those fandom things that I love is when there’s new characters around and, with the unwavering confidence of an old farmer appraising cattle, fanfic authors take one good look at them, tilt their imaginary hat, and go “Aye. Praise kink, that one. Mighty case of praise kink if I ever saw one.” And everyone else just “aye.”

A better future is possible if we have the courage to pave the roads to it. Also libraries are punk as fuck, pass it on.

Page 52 The document suggests review of generals and flag officer promotions "to prioritize the core roles and responsibilities of the military over social engineering and non-defense matters, including climate change, critical race theory, manufactured extremism".
How was climate change choosing our generals? Have promotions been determined by which way glaciers broke this whole time?

Page 49: Ah yes, let's reinstate all the executive orders that add unnecessary people to government in order to reduce spending in the government. Oh, and let's gut every institution of government that we don't specifically name as immune.

P2025 page 78 (or 46 in document) The Director of the Office of Management and Budget "must ensure the appointment of a General Counsel who is respected yet creative and fearless in his or her ability to challenge legal precedents that serve to protect the status quo."
If you think something is safe because of "how things have always been" you might want to reconsider. They are signalling that precedent is no longer a reliable guide. Only things which have been codified as law are likely to be stable.

P2025 page 76 (or 50 according to the document itself): "The great challenge confronting a conservative President is the existential need for aggressive use of the vast powers of the executive branch to return power- including power currently held by the executive branch- to the American people" which "will require a rare combination of boldness and self-denial".
Buddy, I think you chose the wrong guy.

P2025 page 66 This is the first time I've seen "frenemies" used in a political document. And to think, my teachers would have taken away points if I had used that in a paper.

"The new Administration should examine the nature of the relationship between itself and the White House Correspondents Association and consider whether an alternative coordinating body might be more suitable."
Yeah, can't have members of the media who will hold them to account for anything. /s

P2025 states "When a new President takes office, he will need to decide expeditiously how to handle any major ongoing litigation... that might present a challenge to his agenda."
It goes on to advise that the White House Counsel present "recommendations for reconsidering or reversing positions of the previous Administration in any significant litigation."
I think the president-elect is the first case where the ongoing litigation is against him.

P2025 emphasizes adherence to laws and Constitution as written.
If they actually follow this approach it may prove useful to look through old laws both to protect current liberties and to forecast their approach.
The authors specifically state that the president should not issue "monarchical mandates".
We shall see whether this dictate lasts.

P2025 emphasizes that career employees are a major barrier to the president achieving his goals. Eliminating those career positions will likely be a main focus in the early days of the administration.
Protecting these roles would help maintain stability.
This is no surprise considering how important those in career positions were to blocking and slowing the worst of the administration's impulses previously

P. 52 "Many of these laws and regulations governing a largely underworked, overcompensated, and unaccountable federal civilian workforce..."
Sir or madam, have you ever been in a government office?
