For day 28 I would like to shout out a fic that technically requires no shout outs, because it rightfully is one of the most popular, if not *the* most popular Feyd fic out there. I can genuinely say it's the most jaw-dropping fanfiction that I personally have read in my entire life. The intricacy of the worldbuilding and characterizations are of insane quality; better than many (most) books I've read. This fic doesn't hold back on everything Dune typical, dark and dead dove and it depicts Feyd as a positively insane, violent but also deeply troubled man. It ticks all of my boxes and I can hardly put into words how grateful I am for this work of art ❤️

First: I have received and read all messages before this one and I treasure them. I also wholly intend to respond to them. I hope my response to this short ask doesn't come as an offense to anyone who has taken the time to write me messages with gravity. (I feel these messages, a pang in my chest, and I wish I could Vulcan mind-meld somehow to show you my appreciation)

This ask dredged up something very secret and primal for me. I was married on Halloween. This summer my spouse killed themself. I am still in the process of grieving and it is as hellish as you can imagine. Asker, I know this is not what you wanted to know (also fuck yeah ask all your questions there are no rules and I invite all of them) but I hope it sheds a little light on my absence.

I am sorry. I write but I am having trouble editing. I really, really hope to put out a good Halloween chapter to give a little light on that day.

Oof, her pulling absently on his belt loop had me swooning fr I swear! That's the kind of thing I find myself doing with my partner, and I couldn't help but inject a little casual intimacy into the horror of the scene. Their relationship is so complicated and dark...but at the end of the day, Laera still gravitates to him for some semblance of comfort. "The devil you know," indeed.

Ahahaha! This makes me smile XD I couldn't resist putting that line in there. I was really intrigued by Feyd-Rautha's "spooky hoes" (shout out to that one tweet) and I've read so many interesting renditions of who these harpies are and what their purpose is. For this story they're bio-engineered creations, not quite human, and he keeps them around for petty amusement, kind of like how a rich socialite will keep a fluffy little dog lol. I also love the idea they're his concubines, "favorites". So many possibilities!

you have invaded my mind! i started industry on hbo and five minutes into episode 1 i saw a short intimidating teacher guru bald type character.

I was drawn to him i felt lustful and he felt so familiar i said what is this? ohhhhh it’s a Nostya Mulligan variant! Now i don’t know much about his character to make comparisons being as i’m only an episode in but yeah that’s there if you ever wanna check it out!
