Sooo I was watching Pocahontas and I just had like the craziest thought of Loki being a Native American and tony being the john smith. And both of them meeting and just the whole movie playing out with then two. Plleeaaassseee someone write this!!

Why? Frostiron is so perfect! Loki hates Thor people! Get over it and don’t think that they are a perfect couple. Maybe in your dreams. I also hate it when they write “incest” under the Thorki pics, sorry to disappoint but they aren’t brothers ;)

I’m sorry that I’m being so harsh but I really don’t like it when they post something about Thorki and they tag it with frostiron…why do they do that? I got really angry after i saw a lot of pics like these! I personally don’t hate Thorki shippers in general but I hate these people who do that. Sorry for the misunderstandings. I don’t want to start a fight between these two ships I just wanted to voice my opinion that’s all.

Because I care about my fic, artist, and my beta, the potential audience that we're going to get, and Loki/Tony. I don't want to pull out entirely, because the idea of a bang is awesome. This is my fandom.

But I want this to be run differently. I want the mods to stop and listen.

I still love this bang. This could've been really brilliant.

I'm already asking someone else to run the next bang.

#30. If people have such a problem with the frostiron bang then why don’t they put their money where their mouth is and run their own instead of hating on the mods?

I don't know how anyone could categorize these issues as 'not bad', because yes, they're a problem. I can pull out the 'I've had worse card' too--AKA I got spoiled about who was my anonymous recipient for an exchange--and I'm still frustrated about it to this day.

There shouldn't any problems.

I don't expect mods to be infallible, but I expect for them to try and make up for whatever complaints they get.  I expect them to care about the people who are participating and fix anything that comes up, or at least address it head-on. There hasn't been any fixing or addressing, just NOPE, WON'T DO THAT and no apologies whatsoever.

Also, they cannot take on board EVERYONE’S ideas or opinions, and to organise something like this, it’s easier to just keep things unchanged and simple.

'Simple' as in getting flooded with anon asks and complaints? Yes, this is definitely functioning better when things are unchanged and participants are ignored.

'To organize something like this' -- there have been other bangs in the past that have run just fine; I don't see why this should be excused. And come on, participants work just like mods, and they deserve to be heard, too.

So let’s just enjoy it all shall we, because there’ll probably be a chance for another bang another time but as this is our first one, let’s give credit to those who are trying to make it work and who took the time to make it FOR US. :)

I don't see why I should be grateful that something run 'for us' is incredibly shitty. I'm sorry, but I'm here too, and so are my fellow authors and artists. Somebody needs to say this.

I completely agree that different people should run a frostiron bang next year, however.

This is our first bang, and look what you're doing.

1) Posting the incorrect time. You haven't apologized because you confused AM/PM, and you keep blaming it on 'country confusion' but seriously, just fess up. You made a mistake, we could’ve moved on from this. You also should’ve announced the time for the second round--that’s why you’ve been getting so many questions about it--and there is no such singular thing as ‘USA time.’ Do you mean Eastern Standard Time? Do you mean Central? Do you mean Mountain? Do you mean Pacific? Do you mean the Alaskan and Hawaiian Time Zones? Do you mean Arizona where daylight savings time isn’t observed, unless you live in the Navajo Indian Nation??

2) Artist limits/freedom. There's been people begging to know which are Mini/Big.  There's only a handful of bangs left.  JUST TELL THEM.  Look how many potential bang artists you're letting go. Look how much precedence you're putting over author word count as compared to the number of art pieces--they take work, too.  As a writer, I would personally rather an artist do what they have time for because it means higher quality and look, everyone has a higher chance of getting an artist. There will be more participants.

3) Promoting issues. You haven't been publicizing the bang for artists.  Other people have. It’s strange that you haven’t tried artist-friendly sites like DeviantArt or LiveJournal. Look at frostiron-empire on DA, for instance.

Promoting issues are also stifling because participants can't talk about which bang is theirs. If they realized their summary was confusing or unappealing, they now can't do anything to fix whatever impression was made.

4) Rudeness/lack of professionalism. You expect everyone to read everything, but the tumblr’s navigation is messed up--you have to go through pages of writing advice and asks--and you blame it on participants.  The deadlines aren’t on the community home page. Also, put a cut on your long posts.

Stop acting like the asks are a hassle to answer.  It's your guys' responsibility as mods.

#30. Can someone else please run an alternative frostiron bang. None of the other frostiron contests and competitions have had nearly so many issues and they actually listen to the participants and ask their opinions.

This is all a matter of opinion, where there is NO REAL ANSWER.  Everyone can go back and forth about it, but at the end of the day, you can’t stop people from posting and tagging what they like.  This is true for all tags -- I can hit up the Johnlock tag right now, and find things that categorized as on-topic (like fics, art, prompts) but there’s plenty of off-topic things (like vaguely fandom-related selfies, ~hilarious vaguely fandom-related personal stories).

Or to summarize this concisely, “I don't understand why people treat tumblr tags as some sort of sacred bastion that will cater directly to their OTP-shipping-heart and answer all its hopes and dreams. It's not like there's no dreck or pointless text posts in every single tag on tumblr, even in the most obscure of ships or fandoms.”

All you can do is block or Tumblr savior, easy.

In fact, a load of people who liked your post -- who are anti-froz3npizza -- are a bunch of hypocrites.  They put PLENTY of crap in the tag themselves.  frostironistheperfectotp is on a lot of people’s tumblr savior or blocked users.  They have been asked to post less frequently, or at least put things behind a cut.  They do neither of these things.  lalaopez1981 constantly posts about their progress on their frostiron fics.  Isabellah has stirred up wank in the past, and has participated in this froz3npizza debacle in a passive-aggressive manner (ie. threatening to flounce).  She also posts quite frequently in the frostiron tag.

But guess what all this fuss is being made about?

And the accusations about misogyny look pretty damn suspicious, seeing as NO ONE has thrown a fit over any thunderfrostiron posts before and nearly ALL of those posts are tagged frostiron.  But when it’s Pepper, NO STOP IT YOU GUYS SUCK.

That was only one troll.  They made two posts, and they were hilarious, and made a point.  They only posted IN RESPONSE to the frostiron fans who were being rude toward them--who can blame them, seeing as there was that one person who said that Pepper doesn’t belong in Loki/Tony/Pepper because she’s ~vulnerable, compared to any other male characters?

Some frostiron fans just blatantly attacked the OT3.  They were the ones that engaged and didn’t simply block or tumblr savior.

The people who look like inconsiderate dickbags in this situation are many of the frostiron fans.  You have that person who wants a BNF to JOIN THE FIGHT111!!  You have hysterical, frantic generalizations that frostiron (and Avengers fans) in general are a dying breed and the froz3npizza people are Ruining Fandom Forever, but they’re easily debunked.
