To be seen and heard, To be held and loved. My existence unfolds in melancholy, For what it is worth I am seen, heard, held and loved but never the one.

“...The agony in you exists because you're unaware of yourself. With your energy so contagious; you always giggle like a kid and talk utter nonsense but it all makes sense, somehow, For me at least it did— You're warm like sunshine, Beautiful like a moon. One doesn't know what to do with themselves when you're around—
Your presence is magical; Love is your pronoun..."
“...I don't understand how you cannot know that you're important”. He continued to speak, as he swallowed down the love confession he almost did confess.

And I said — “Promise you will keep my mental health first”. “I promise, Don't be scared, Darling I am here ”.
*She sighed looking at her therapist*
“I don't understand what happened afterwards”

I often wonder— Is it a wildly tangled mind or my incapability of expression? Impossible how I have never met a single soul who would understand.

With those words forever imprinted on my head— I decided to move ahead; knowing people's opinions are in contrast to my truth

“What did that kid do?”
The kid whose screams were silenced within the four walls she called home. The kid who sought comfort in friendships that ended up ripping her apart, as she fought mentally and physically. The love languages and triggers overlapped, as the kid craved warm hugs but hated being touched. What did that kid do to deserve it? Survived the attack and dared to live again; Trusted souls and dreamed for a life again. Karma demands payback but never in the form of abuse.“She deserved it", someone said.
“What did that kid do?” I replied as I refused.

I was never the neglected child. I was the child who was truly loved and taken care of— The one who everyone delighted, the one who makes the most ridiculous joke yet for whom the laughter echoes within the room. I was the one always spoken softly to; always hyped with gentle corrections; I was the one everyone comes home bearing gift to– A child too young to reciprocate I became the adult who don't know when it's enough, when I must stop pouring— Unconditional love with no selfish reforms it is what I learnt and seeked around. I look out for love I was raised with, not the one that might have lacked. I am not the neglected child seeking attention, I am the child with bars set up high for love and relations— I am not a little too much, nor am I asking for more, it's just the right amount of healthy exchange, if you are in love, with the right intentions.

“—And the same set of people collide, relentlessly until they serve the purpose universe has planned for each of them”
She chuckled as she replied “That's a load of crap!”.

Oh! You're such a wh*re!!
Forgive her for not being a greater woman, begging for love, attention and care, trading her soul, body and respect. An endless amount of tears and sweat. Oh dear God! She did not ask for your wealth. Wh*re you called her, even though the word didn't really come out of your mouth. As she lay down on the ground for you to walk all over, abuse her love and devotion. She trusted people easily and that was her fault, One and a two and a three, endless lovers are her reward. Scars on her body, a shattered hope. Nobody asked who was holding the knife—greater cuts do get always ignored. Perhaps she was the culprit for being a Lovewhore!

Oh! To never fall in love with a Hero. To watch your love being sacrificed for the sake of others. To endure never being the first choice, your needs will always be sacrificed. “I am proud of my man. He is a Hero” cheered the lover–empowering his goodness, rooting for his win; just to find out his victory is not her win. What do we call it love or self-sabotage?
I hope you never fall in love with a hero; of which you are the cost.
