"Father, please accept this gift!" the raven-haired boy exclaimed, grinning broadly as he handed Takaaki a small box, along with a carefully drawn handmade card which read "I love you, father" in large letters. ((I was going to send this yesterday whoops))

It wasn't enough for just the chocolates and the cute card, but there was also that excited, enthusiastic smile his son had, that always filled his heart with happiness. "Thank you." He told his son, and leaned over to plant a small kiss on his forehead. "That was very sweet of you, Baby. I love you too." He rubbed his back lovingly. "And don't you have something better to do on Valentines Day? Don't you have someone else you should be giving these chocolates too?" He grinned a bit.

"O-Oi, Ishimaru. I... I seriously don't get why the hell you stick around me as much as you do, but 'm thankful for it. 'N I mean, I guess I'd be in some real tight spots if you weren't around so much, so I wanna thank ya. 'M just... 'm glad you're around... 'n I... I mean... J-JUST TAKE THE DAMN CHOCOLATE FOR FUCK'S SAKE!" The flustered and nervous Zoku held out a box of sweets for Ishimaru, trying to to look the inspector in the eyes. - ((gontxkerusu))

A small smile crept on the inspectors face as the boy held the box of chocolates out to him. It wasn't as if he had expected such a gesture, he hadn't, but there was something so endearing about it, he couldn't help but smile the warm smile he seldom gave.

Reaching out to take the box, he used one hand to put on the top of his head. "That's very kind of you Yukimaru. Thank you." He gave a bit of a chuckle. "But due to the high amount of sugar in these, I can't eat them by myself. Care to help me?"

Originally I was going to be that Leon Anon that teased you for heck of it but I decided to give it a try. For almost two years, I am surprised you still stick around despite how lazy and inactive I can get at times. I really do hope you find someone who can see what a wonderful woman you are someday.

theshsllibrarian: Wise, you have known me outside of tumblr roleplaying and I am surprised you haven’t picked up an canon character in the community. But I am also surprised that you have made your original character work here too! I hope you find someone for you and that will appreciate how funny and sassy you are.

cluelessclairvoyant / thedevraj: Koka, where can I possibly go with you? You’re a dork at heart because I can witness how many times you blew up my texting on my cell phone and I enjoy our conversations every time because you seem to have an unique insight to things.

That effort you exhibited then made me notice you and start getting curious about you because never once I have had someone do that over skype or tumblr. So you have this special place in my heart where I’ll always want to look out for you, care about you, and try cheer you up even if we don’t talk as much now or roleplay as much. But I just want you to be happy and smile your wonderful smile.

bosozoku101: Shino, I know we don’t talk as much outside of roleplaying and that I kinda went inactive on my Ishida account. But I am thankful I met you because you’re a wonderful person and I know someone would be lucky as hell to have you someday. You are wonderful person and you’re a big joy to talk to even if you’re shy as heck.

virtuosisms / runawayexe: Fede, I know we don’t talk as much as we used to because of your real life problems and situations that occurred but when we do, it’s a joy to talk to you because you’re such interesting person who is full of life and it’s amazing how strong you are.

You are the one who I can rely on because I know you’ll be right there and ready to do whatever you want. I do miss our roleplays and talks at times because of life keeps cock-blocking you with issues like no net and so on. But it is a blast knowin’ you.

dictateursanguinaire / steelrebellion / stoneperfection: Morty, I know we don’t talk alot but it is always a blast to roleplay with you whenever there’s a chance that we can do one because you’re a fun person and I really enjoy you as a friend and I hope we will have more interactions in future either ic or ooc.

nxeggi / nxkomaru / aioaishi / kounashita: Liz, you are such a sweetheart and I really enjoy that about you because it makes it easier to talk to you at times. And you’re such a wonderful young woman who deserves to have everything she wants in life. You are not afraid to show your emotions which makes you admirable. 

lyingxmblr: Kaya, you are a dork and I adore that about you. You are funny and playful which makes it easy for me to click with you as a friend and I have fun talking to you even if it’s about stuff that I might not completely understand. I really enjoy having you around and seeing you on my dash.

miss-idol / mr-idol: Kim, I know we just recently started to talk outside of roleplaying and so far, you’re such an amazing person and I really do enjoy our time together and getting to know you. I hope to see you become a very beautiful wonderful woman you are some day. I hope nothing but good things happens to you!

pandemoniumblessings: Calw, you are very fun person to talk to and you make it easier for anyone who may be nervous to chat with you. You have a good sense of humor and you’re very sure of who you are. You’re very confident yet you have your flaws but you don’t let your flaws hold you back which makes you very admirable to anyone. crazydaimondo / kiyondo-chan / sugardaimonds: Rae, even when we talk, it is always relaxing to talk to you and it’s always relaxing to roleplay with you because you just have the aura where people can feel relaxed around you no matter what. I do hope everything works out for you because you have had a long time of hardships and it’s time for you to able to relax and enjoy the fine moments.

aristxcratie: Rhiannon, even though I did hurt you in the end, I still hope to make it easier for you one day because you are an amazing and beautiful person. You shouldn’t down yourself because you have so much to offer and you just need the right person to help what you offer to have a much bigger meaning. You are very smart, sweet, and wonderful. Don’t ever lose sight of that.

inspectortakaaki / kazuichisugar: Cierra, you are very much similar to me in some aspects but it is refreshing to have someone who can understand and relate to me without making me feel like I gotta explain alot. You are one of the few people that I can relax around and just try enjoying life with. You are a blast to be around.

futekina: Mari, you are a wonderful person who can be blunt and strong in your own way. I do hope we talk more often and learn more about you because you’re a very interesting person yourself. I hope everything goes well in your life and that you will accomplish what you set out to do.

shsl-disciplinarian: Vi, we just recently met but so far it has been a blast knowing you and you’re a very sweet person. I hope everything gets better for you and that you have all the good wishes in the world. You deserve it because you’re such a wonderful person.

Seeing that smiling face his son wore was enough to warm his heart. He had never been so happy to see his Baby in such high spirits, but at the same time he couldn't help but think something was wrong. He was a bit more...scattered than usual. He was obviously thinking. In any case, Takaaki would be more than happy to just spend time with his boy, even if he had no reason to call him over.

The truth of the matter was Takaaki wasn't in town, he drove across town specifically to see Kiyotaka, and he didn't mind it one bit if it meant he got to spend some time with him.

"I know you do. I rather like tea myself. I don't know how you do it, but you always find a way to make a brilliant pot, you know."

"A-ah, should I come back later..?"

Kiyotaka glanced behind him, spotting his father in the doorway no sooner than the moment he managed to pull his briefs on. With a large smile, he shook his head, laughing at the question posed. “Of course not, father! It is always a wonderful time to discuss anything with you! I am perfectly capable of multitasking!”

Takaaki could tell something was bothering him. He could tell there was a sense of...abandonment, his child felt. Perhaps not abandonment persee, but the feeling as if he left something behind. The inspector wanted his son to feel nothing like that. He hoped if anything he could bring him forth in his journey to adulthood, and yet always be there to catch him if something happens.

"I appreciate the curiosity." He chuckled and put a hand on his son's back. "Sure, I wouldn't mind tea." The officer took the offer keeping close to his son and walking them out towards the living area. "Only if it's not a bother, however."

Warm might have very easily been normal, the Inspector could understand that, but to suddenly get better and then get worse again? There was nothing normal about that. Of course he knew he'd have to drag the boy kicking and screaming if he were to take him to a doctor, but until that was a resort, he figured he'd keep him at his house until then.

Takaaki stood up once more, and walked into the kitchen. Wetting a wash cloth in cold water and then walking his way to the boy, he placed it on his head. Sure it was cold, and sure he had just had a fever reducer, but he was too worried about him to just let him sit there and wait. "Sorry, that might be a little cold." He sat back down next to him and began tucking the blanket around him so he wasn't completely uncomfortable.

A day spent laying down in fever sweat made anyone look like a mess, Takemichi was no exception to that rule. His previous night in the snow had been enough to make him look unpleasant, but after his illness he had been hard on the eyes no doubt. Not to mention how uncomfortable he felt, how his clothes were hardly decent to wear back out in the cold.

So he’d been practically pushed to shower by one concerned Takaaki. His clothes taken to wash as well, Yukimaru didn’t know what to make of himself nor all this hospitality. Like it or not, refusing wasn’t an option. There in, he gave a sigh and did as he was asked.

Alas, old habits die hard, and halfway through his shower he’d begun to sing. Quietly - mind you - but sing no less. Not particularly talented, but surely far from tune deaf. “Take me out, tonight-" He hummed along a tune he knew too well, the Smiths thankfully were no challenge to sing either. "Take me anywhere, I don’t care I don’t care I don’t caaare ~”
