New curb & gutter at Tupelo Bend. This patch of grass is a future bioretention basin + tree island planter, where stormwater runoff from the parking lot will be treated. The functional landscape is just one of many sustainable design features in this office park by @newleafbuilds

Another photo of a creek. Except this one was built from scratch over the summer, and recently survived the #scflood. This creek had been ditched for the last hundred or so years, and its floodplain used for timber production. Now it's a fledgling ecosystem of stream channels, wetlands, and floodplain that will improve with time. And it's producing valuable steam & wetland mitigation credits in the Waccamaw basin. Working with American Timberlands, Tidewater Environmental / JMT, and RiverWorks on this project has been a highlight of 2015.

After a weekend of #scflood we were fortunate this week to kick off a construction project to stabilize a reach of the Pacolet River in Polk County, NC. We're pleased to be working with Altamont Environmental to assist with construction administration. #bioengineering #riverrestoration
