I have a Terry Finch inspired playlist and I put Cowboy Dan by Modest Mouse as the closing track. And the line "didn't move to the city, the city moved to me, and I want out desperately" makes me think of how he might feel about Draw and The Reprisalizer

Writing westerns was what he did first and in my headcanon it was what he enjoyed more. His first passion and probably his special interest. It was somewhat ruined for him by his shitty publishers but, considering he reportedly dressed as the character of Draw even after that, it clearly still meant a lot to him - whereas The Reprisalizer spawned directly from trauma, a modern-day urban crime series that he began writing very shortly after George died in an attempt to process the horror of what happened and the anger and depression he felt.

I use "happy" very loosely when referring to anything Terry feels but the Wild West was almost his happy place, the way I see it. While he definitely still wrote his westerns as a way to vent out his feelings and violent urges, The Reprisalizer was an immediate and constant reminder of his brother's death

And maybe a part of him wants to escape his urban hell and return to the Old West

i go by Corvi, Terry, Draco, or Avery! i use any pronouns but he/they are somewhat preferred! i'm 20 year olde and i have a serious health condition called british.

i draw, animate, write, and make plushies. but i don't use my tumblr for that stuff (usually) (because i just don't think about it). sometimes i make short films and stuff with my lps

my interests include the works of Matthew Holness (A Gun for George, Garth Marenghi, Possum, etc), Cheap Trick, Ghost (the band), Warrior Cats, Littlest Pet Shop, Doctor Who, classic horror, and MLP FiM.
