(RBs appreciated! this is for the community, so any way the community can find it, is help.)
I posted my take on a transjapanese flag some time ago on a separate blog i lost the login info for. The post is still up, but i thought id repost it here, because i made a higher quality version and it also has mascots now!
I personally call it the 4 season flag. The mascots are up to you what one you like more, I picked a pheasant because its the national bird of japan (Phasianus versicolor) while I picked a tanuki for the second mascot because its an animal that comes to lots of people's minds when they think of japan, but also because its a japanese animal even named after in english for its resemblance to an animal that is not. The tanuki is 友彩 Yua, the pheasant is 優羽 Yuwa. Neither of them have a gender, as in you can portray their genders however you'd like.
If anyone who has an account on a transid wiki would like to archive these terms and designs, be my guest!
Some less fun stuff under the cut
I would prefer if you kept use of these characters to positivity and education!
any "reclaimations" of these characters should be and will be considered theft.
The 4 seasons flag was created in my response to personally not liking the pink transjpn flag. i feel as though it feeds into stereotypes and a fixation on idol culture and "kawaii" obsession that personally i feel is a bad call to choose to boast about, but also it does not feel as all-encompassing, or like its painting all of us as being such. i didnt connect with it much. japan is much more than hello kitty and sakura season. if you connect with that, sure thats fine, but not everyone does so i wanted to make a flag that includes more people and recognizes more than what is the most consumable on the internet.
each stripe on my flag represents the 4 seasons. pink for spring flowers, purple for summer flowers, orange for autumn leaves, and white for winter snow. (i would have added blue for the rainy season and to represent the ocean but i wanted the flag to be recognizable and simple, as well as the colors to mesh together in a sort of sunrise look, due to the sun in the middle and reputation of japan being the country of the rising sun.) the cut through the lower half splits the autumn in two, because theres many colors of autumn leaves, and many people who comes from many walks of life who would unite under this flag. it continues into the center stripe to make a shadow of a mountain and the sky, representing both people who are closeted and people who are out, and people who are struggling and people who are happy. the sun is residual of the flag of japan and other transjpn flags. i also chose the 4 seasons as a theme because the seasons change as time passes regardless of where you live, sometimes it changes the way the world looks and sometimes not so much. people also change with time, sometimes they change physically and some dont, but no matter where someone is from, they can change, and it is natural to change.
here's the more reference intended images i made
please do not use my art for commercial reasons. i do intend to use the images at the top of the post for physical goods in the future.
please do not use my art for machine learning in any way
please credit me when using the designs! (if this blogs go down, you can credit my (as the mod who did this) art handle on many sites Togainunochi. if you want to refer to me as a person, its okay to use my first name Masato 真人.
I would prefer if you didnt but i cant stop if you..:
use my designs for political reasons other than transjpn acceptance
used my designs for violent or sexual imagery
used my designs for commercial reasons (on original art you made) without giving me a cut of any profits
portrayed my designs with mascots for microlabel "blank-queer" movements.
use my designs for hate or policing in any way, including portraying them as intolerant or unkind
portray my characters as any label outside of the one they directly are representing
yes, you may:
be inspired by my works (but please, be original. thats what gives a design charm!)
self ship with these designs
publicly be connected to these designs in any way (introject, kin, etc) but please do not make statements about me or the supposed beliefs of these characters as all encompassing. derivative designs are allowed (kinsonas, etc) so long as they are clearly listed as such and still credit me as the creator.
headcanon behaviors, likes, dislikes, fashion, gender, etc. but please remember the focus should always be when it comes to their identity, that they are transjpn.
use the artwork and designs with credit on works not including personal unrelated ideology (DNI banners, for example, would be not allowed.)
make moodboards, stimboards, etc, based off the characters
draw this oc next to other trace mascots or general radqueer mascots. (i prefer NOT blankqueers because some of them are openly anti-trace or otherwise tracist and i would prefer my designs not be connected to that, or to movements unrelated to them or containing otherwise personally disagreeable values which could make others interpret it as me agreeing with said values)
draw fanart of these designs, write fictions around them, etc.
really anything. i cant control you, i dont want to either. i would prefer that you stay mindful and respectful of me and other creators around you! my characters are just characters, but you actions may have consequences for yourself or for ME so please be careful and respectful.
please do not harass anyone that you see defying this list, but i would encourage a gentle reminder, and if behavior continues please contact me. if you drew these characters, you can also contact me because i would love to see it, and if it is okay with you, archive the fanworks with the rest of the character works! preferably send these to @ togainunochi on Cohost, where you do not need to be signed in to make an ask.
if you are interested in helping me spread anything else to do with trans-identity activism and discussion, i did coin the term "pwii" to mean "people/person with identity incongruence" as an alternative to transid/transx that includes people who may not use the label for any reason but is still important to the discussions surrounding incongruent identities to the physical or socially perceived self! i would be happy if this term got used more, i feel as though it could help with a lot of the divide between transid people and those using different labels.
i may edit this at any point.
please direct any questions to my art related question taking blog.

I do find it puzzling when people say "I don't have a stance on transid, I'm neutral." Neutrality... is a stance.
Being neutral is being okay with us. You don't have to be one of us, or be active in our circles or communities to be okay with us.
It's the same as people saying "I just think transgender people can do what they want. I'm not pro trans or transphobic I think they deserve to live." Like that statement in of itself is pro trans.
Because it's not about encouraging vs discouraging.... it's literally about if or if not people deserve freedom of identity and bodily autonomy to pursue their happiest self. One side chooses to enforce systemic creations and boundaries harshly and the other says "let's break down the walls."
Neutrality, saying "I don't care what people do with their identity it's not my buisness" is pro transid. Saying "I'm okay with them identifying the way they do as long as nobody's being raped " (?????) Is pro transid, and it has nothing to do with that statement...
I see this kinda thing a weird amount
Furthermore, saying
"I'm neutral on people identifying as they do, but not if they want me to take them seriously or talk about their identity. Only in private and their own head." That's not neutrality, that's recycled transphobia. And being anti transid. "Just stay in the closet" is not neutral, no idea how many times people will have to learn that.
We live in a world where tolerance is the radical "pro" side of most debates. You can't be neutral on the topic of "should someone be allowed to live?" You can't be neutral on the topic of "can I police the way a person identifies if it makes me uncomfortable or confused?" Its literally yes or no. There's no neutrality, just complicity. If your idea of neutrality is saying "eh, well okay." While people are beaten backwards, you're not neutral. You're complicit. If your idea of neutrality is agreeing with the continued existence of the minority group, you're not neutral.
It's literally, actually black and white for once.
#bringing this post back due to all the antis who coined clone terms that literally are exactly as i say in this post#being all 'well its fine as long as you stay in the closet and stay submissive and recognize youre wrong or broken!'#'as long as you keep your transness to yourself in private and tell nobody and dont transition in any way possible at all and lean into#your bio heavily to make up for the way youre a disgusting mistake than its fine! just tell me you know youre a disgrace.“#thats not neutrality thats hate#youre literally on some 'dysphoric female' shit like genuinely not different from transphobia regarding transgender people#its not even recycled that would imply its changed in the process its literally you just washed it with tapwater before using it again#sorry this is unprofessional. other mods feel free 2 delete this later

Typically, yk, rb for sample size or don't. I don't control you and it's not any kind of sign of "morality" or some craaaap. But it is polite.
Basically this poll is asking that if someone disrespected your identity, for example misgendering you, would you misgender them back, or do you find it acceptable for someone else to do this? Does this change if the harasser is trans or cis? Does this change if it's a different aspect of identity?
(Disrespecting identity includes insensitive comments, to continue the transgender context for the example, this could mean things like bringing up suicide rates in a mocking way.)

i hate when people say that trace people just want to appropriate a culture or that they assume trace people don't ever do research on their trace culture. oh you want to use a name online that reflects you? dont u know names have special meanings do ur research. well u did and u picked a name w care and respect to how names are picked in that culture. but it wouldnt be enough for them, they'd rather call u racist for... respecting your trace culture's traditions
They'll say anything in order to try to invalidate us. Stay strong!

Is feeling like you're in a different time/time period/feeling like you should be in a different time period a transid? Is there a specific term or tag for that?
Yes, although I can't help you by supplying a list of the terms, some people, myself included, consider their experience with it a transid. Some use words like transdecade or time-stuck.

This post is not going to contain my feelings on consang, or tell you what yours should be, but can we PLEASE stop using the "and there's a higher level of disability and defect among babies of consang couples" as a "reason they should continue to be illegal and/or socially outcast.
That's just plain ableism. "Because their baby could be disabled" is horrible reasoning. Think of every other couple you are effecting when you say that. Think of every person born disabled who hears you say that. I hear that, and I hear ableism.
No argument based on who can and cannot be in love should be built upon the idea that they certainly will reproduce and focus on that instead of their actual relationship- and especially no arguments should be built on the idea that their baby should never exist because of the /chance/ it could be disabled.
Use other arguments.
I'm tired of seeing people in the tags and replies of posts explain themselves by acting as if disabled children being born is as bad as rape.
Even if the rate was 100%, that would be absolutely not an argument against them. Even if the rate was 100%, those children shouldn't be legally barred from being born, nor should they be shamed for their parents their whole lives.
Older couples having children increases the rate of disability, but it would be incredibly ableist to say older people should be barred from reproducing out of fear they'd have a disabled child. Disabled people have a chance of passing on any genetic disability, but barring us from reproducing would be ableism (and eugenics, which, actually, all of these kinds of arguments are.)
Talk about abuse if you're going to talk about abuse. Disabled children being born is not abuse. You never have to bring that up. You just don't.
[Don't use this post to argue to me for or against consang. This is not the post for that, nor will i engage you in that discussion anywhere on this blog. This is just because I see it far too often and people are yet to unlearn the ableism in this statement. Thank you. Make you own post if you want to discuss why you are or are not for consang.]

Asker, while I doubt you'll ever see this, it's really quite the opposite.
Race is a construct, one invented so that racism can exist (much like gender being invented so the patriarchy can exist) and forcing people to abide by strict racial labels is even from an anti angle- racist! Why should someone be forced to identify with the label which was created so they can be marked as lesser? Why do the feelings of trace POC not matter to you? May I remind you that trace INCLUDES people who don't identify with race at all, as well as people who identify with race labels they made up, and therians, fictionkin and system alters who identify their race as being an animal/nonhuman or fictional race? Enforcing race especially onto poc who don't identify with the labels forced onto them is absolutely racist even from an anti standpoint. Furthermore it's racist against mixed people who may identify as trace connected to their mixed identity for any reason.
Insisting transabled people are ableist is also ableist. Why are you so certain disability is a bad thing? Yes- people CAN "just become disabled" it happens every single day! Why is the difference to you that some people didn't want to be disabled, but people who did are monsters? Sounds pretty ableist to me, to be so distressed by the idea of someone becoming disabled. What message are you sending to the disabled people around you when you antis so often insist being disabled is something nobody would ever desire or feel like they should be? Why is it okay when people say they feel like they should have been born in an abled body, but not when abled people feel like they should have had a disabled one? Because that sounds like textbook ableism used to justify eugenics. Why can disability only ever be a shame to you? Why is it okay if someone lost their leg in an accident vs lost their leg on purpose? The aspect of shame, mourning or the fact it was done without the permission/consent of the affected party? What changes when it was done with permission and consent instead of accident or environment or illness? At the end of the day, a disabled person is disabled.
What's your reasoning behind this alleged racism and ableism? Because it looks like you're actually just using buzzwords based on misinformation and bad faith purposeful misrepresentations of these communities in order to leverage your bigotry. Calling someone else's existence bigotry just exists to shock people into your standing. Terfs can call transgender people misogynistic for existing all they want, but that doesn't make them right. Where's your reasoning, where's your excuse? How is someone inherently racist or ableist for their internal incongruence?
aspen asked: Trans id is a racist and ableist term ....
Nope! That’s misinfo aspen. You wanna know what is racist and ableist? Speaking over my black AND disabled moot about a goofy little internet label and then saying you only support the “real” disabled people. are you yourself transrace/trace? just wondering what perspective this is from
Yes, although I only make reference to my bodily race.
For future reference, I do find these sort of questions invasive. While I do understand in part asking due to this blog talking about identity.
And I urge you to reconsider asking these types of questions to bloggers you see as you may put them in danger, especially for things like this that are very controversial and people tend to be in the closet about.
Also, about people who are race inconcruence or not, asking about race can be a dangerous subject, which is why if people ask further about the subject of my/our race, I won't be answering them. Furthermore we are very dysphoric about it, and don't enjoy the topic.
[Obligatory I don't use transrace to mean trace/diarace so that nobody gets mad at me about that discourse]
#sorry if it seems like im taking this question a bit seriously#this is just the most volitile transid in the mainstream and it makes me incredibly vulnerabile to answer it.

I think the "Listen to XYZ group when they tell you (this thing) is XYZ-ist" arguments are very... Useless.
Do I let a black republican man convince me that black people have privilege in America, because he's black and I'm not? No, because I can be critical of that and use other sources to say: Hey, that's not true!
Do I let a woman who's a TERF argue that supporting trans women is inherently misogynistic or sexist? Absolutely not. Historically speaking, trans women have fought alongside cis women for their rights and known each other's struggles. I can see that and criticize the arguments used today and their reliance on ignoring or denying that history.
I could obviously make a million examples... But you can definitely have the expectation of listening to marginalized groups without saying "everything they say is an undeniable fact when it comes to their own oppression as a group."
#this is true#and i want to add its especially pointless when youre a part of the demographic theyre begging you to listen to#we all know a lot of people on this website lack critical thinking skills#so they assume 'listen to this oerson when they talk' means 'never question them their word is rule'#because they were literally raised to never question direct rule in the guise of 'listen'#listening to someone on matters like in this post#is moreso meaning to hear their angle and consider it#consideration is all it means#not 'free thought is secondary to this persons higher credibility than yours! silence!'#the truth is theres a lot of people who are simply... uneducated even on their own experiences#but i get this silencing demand a lot#'listen to gay men when they s-' im gay men.#'listen to poc when they-' im a person of color.#etc#if a gay person says conversion therapy is gods will and they should be killed for being gay does that make it law?#NO!#and there HAVE been people like that who say those things#mindlessly following the ideolotry of bigotry will always lead to harm#you can be bigoted against the very thing you are#others posts
