The presented works are the results of collective reflection and brainstorming on a number of local situations and social transformations pertaining to the Internet as a space, a tool, and a network that belongs to all. They cut across various themes such as human relationships, cultural representation, time and space, as well as the local understanding of the Internet in Thailand and southeast Asia.

Panel Discussion, 28 September 16:00 @ TCDC Bangkok
An informal discussion on artistic freedom will take place at 4.00 pm at the TCDC Function Room, followed by the launch of the exhibition at 5.30 pm at the Rooftop Garden (L5) and a cocktail reception. It will feature Thailand’s prominent film directors Pen-ek Ratanaruang, Anucha Boonyawatana, Sorayos Prapapan, as well as our project participants.

Exhibition @TCDC from 28 Sep - 14 Oct 2018
The exhibition at TCDC presents the works of creative individuals who took part in a UNESCO workshop about Internet Universality in May 2018. It highlights their challenges and aspirations, as well as their unique perspectives on issues related to communication and information in Southeast Asia.
งานนิทรรศการนี้นำเสนอผลงานของนักสร้างสรรค์��ลายท่านที่เข้าร่วมเวิร์คช็อปจัดโดยองค์กรยูเนสโกในหัวข้อเรื่องความเป็นสากลของอินเทอร์เน็ต จัดขึ้นในเดือนพฤษภาคม พ.ศ. ๒๕๖๑ ซึ่งเป็นเวิร์คช็อปที่เน้นถึงความท้าทาย แรงบันดาลใจ ตลอดจนมุมมองที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ของพวกเขาต่อประเด็นที่เกี่ยวเนื่องกับการสื่อสารและข้อมูลในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้

Paphop Graf Kerdsup received his Bachelor of Architecture from Chulalongkorn University. His interest revolves around alternative practices in architecture including architectural narratives expressed through fictions and films, architectural criticism and curatorial practice, and the relationship between architecture and print media. He is currently an associate editor for art4d magazine.

หนังสือภาษา+ไทย PHASA+THAI(LAND) : The Books of Languages
“How well do we know ourselves? How do others actually see us?”
Languages have influenced the degree of online visibility and cultural perceptions of countries, including Thailand. Wikipedia, in this case, has been the first landing spot for those who search for the keyword ‘Thailand.’ Everyone can search and find it, but the volume of information varies according to the language used. In the form of printed matter, this project by Paphop (Graf) Kerdsup provides a tangible evidence of the degree of visibility and invisibility of the keyword ‘Thailand’ as it is perceived through different languages. This set comprising thirty languages asks the viewer to reflect on the impact of online representations and the global hierarchies that may influence the Internet as a common space.
“เรารู้จักตัวเราเองดีแค่ไหน” “คนอื่นมองเราจริงๆ อย่างไร”
ภาษามีอิทธิพลต่อระดับการมองเห็นได้ทางออนไลน์ และการรับรู้ทางวัฒนธรรมของประเทศต่างๆ รวมถึงประเทศไทยด้วย ในกรณีนี้วิกิพีเดียเป็นจุดลงแรกสำหรับผู้ที่ค้นหาคีย์เวิร์ด ‘Thailand’ (ประเทศไทย) ทุกคนสามารถค้นหาได้และเจอกับคำนี้ แต่ปริมาณของข้อมูลแตกต่างกันไปตามภาษาที่ใช้ ผลงานชุดนี้นำเสนอรูปแบบของสิ่งตีพิมพ์ซึ่งเป็นหลักฐานที่แสดงให้เห็นเด่นชัดในเรื่องระดับของการมองเห็นได้และการมองไม่เห็นของคีย์เวิร์ด ‘Thailand’ ตามการรับรู้ผ่านภาษาต่างๆ กัน งานชุดนี้ประกอบด้วยภาษาจำนวน 30 ภาษา ที่ชวนให้ผู้ชมสะท้อนถึงผลกระทบของการนำเสนอภาพแทนทางออนไลน์และลำดับชั้นของโลกที่อาจส่งอิทธิพลต่ออินเทอร์เน็ตในฐานะพื้นที่ร่วมกัน
