What Do I Think About The Book?

Thank you Nimueh Virago and The Next Step PR for a free copy! All opinions are my own.

I would say that I struggle a lot while reading the book. The characters are interesting. When I read the trigger warnings, I am very skeptical. I read the book, and I have a feeling that it is making me uncomfortable. There are a lot of parts that I don't like and have a hard time to read. Overall, I do not enjoy the book much. However, you could be interested in reading it if you like things like this.

What Do I Think About The Book?

The book is good, I like it! It is the first installment of the series. I  see surprises and twists between the characters, very interesting! One small downside is the pacing, a mix of slow and fast in each part or chapter. I wonder if I get a different pacing for the next couple of books. Well, that would be later. Overall, I enjoy the book and I am looking forward to read the next installment later.

What Do I Think About The Book?

Haunt Your Heart Out has a cozy small town and spooky vibes! Ghost hunting and such during Christmas? That is interesting! Anyway, I like most of the characters, writing, bookshop (I could browse for a while) and the setting. I feel dumb for not knowing that this book includes steamy romance (oops, that’s okay hahaha). Overall, Haunt Your Heart Out is a nice book to read during fall and winter seasons, Halloween and Christmas as well. I like it!

Although Adam Benscoter's hair had grayed significantly, he still looked the part of the handsome college quarterback he had been when Marta first met him a lifetime ago. She felt a warmth rising within her, which quickly cooled when she looked at his sidepiece. The tall young Asian woman was about twenty years younger than Adam. Her long, wavy hair was dyed amaranth, and she was dressed in a light coral coat that was entirely inappropriate for the climate.

“Whoo, I’m so glad to be out of that storm!” the young woman proclaimed. “You were a boss on that road, Ad-Man!”

“At least this one looks like she’s been out of high school for more than two years,” Marta muttered under her breath. “I’m so glad we never had any children. Imagine having someone your own age as your stepmother.”

“Hi there, Ladies, I’m Clara Wola,” the young woman introduced herself, extending a friendly hand. “Since it appears we'll be spending lots of time together, we might as well get to know each other.”

“Hi Clara, I’m Ophrah Pololáník. Oh goodness, your hands are so cold! Miss Tia, could we have a hot chocolate over here for this young lady?”

“Dear Ophrah, always the mother hen,” Adam said kindly.

“Wait—you two know each other?” Clara asked.

“Yes, and he knows me too,” Marta said coldly. “Hello, Clara, I’m Marta Benscoter, your—what is he to you, Dear?”

“He’s my boss,” Clara said, a puzzled expression on her face. “But we’ve also become good friends since he hired me six years ago.”

“We’re going to make our partnership official when we get back to Diamond Bar,” Adam said with a grin. “Then she can finally stop calling me Boss.”

“Well, that’s generous of you,” Marta quipped. “I hate to rain on your parade, Ms. Wola, but even if you aren’t officially marrying Saint Adam, I hope you’ve spoken to an attorney about protecting your interests in the event of an eventual dissolution of your partnership.”

“It’s not a romantic partnership; it’s purely business,” Clara corrected. “I’ve been Adam’s assistant at Cloud Limited since getting my doctorate from Oceanside Tech. You must be the ex-wife he won’t talk about. It seems like you two need to iron some things out.”

What Do I Think About The Book?

A story that has a character who is an internet star? Oh yes indeed I would read it! I would say that I like this book! The characters, setting, plot, all good! Oh and the challenges are a mix of cool and crazy. Overall, I enjoy the story! Fun and quick read. I am looking forward to read volume 2!

What Do I Think About The Book?

I am nearing the end of the story, but I would say that I like this book! Wonderful characters (though I have mixed feelings with Gray sometimes), good writing, and nice setting. Overall, this is a good book to read during fall time or any time of that year!

I thought about you all night. You know I’ve always liked you, right? Probably why I teased you so much when we were kids. Are you ready to admit that you’ve always liked me too? Beau

Gasping, I crinkled the note up in my fist—then flattened it out and pressed it against my chest. Bent over the kitchen counter, I focused on taking deep breaths, laughing at myself a little while my eyes stung.

Crap. Why am I reacting like this? I stood up straight and set the note down, determined to get my coffee and be rational.

My problem was that it had been too long. I shook my head. Well, and also Beau’s wide shoulders and muscled arms. I tapped myself on the forehead.

Those times you stole my towel and clothes while we were swimming so that I had to chase you around, in my bikini, in front of practically the entire high school!

I’m getting mad just thinking about it.

So, no, I’m not going to your barbecue. I’ll be over in Portland on a date.
