you heard a repeated knocking sound on your window, not thinking anything of it, you pull the covers back over your head.

“the fuck are you doing throwing rocks at my window? it’s 2AM.” you groaned, rubbing the sleep from your eyes. you were already having trouble sleeping, but leave it up to denki to wake you.

“sorry” he sheepishly says, “can i come in your room, it’s kinda cold out here.”

sighing, you open your window so he can climb into your room. he was wearing red plaid pajama pants with a white tee-shirt.

he drapes his body across yours, resting some of his weight on you. he wraps his arms around your waist, inhaling deeply.

“why’re you up this late, kami?” you asked, bringing both of you to your bed.

“couldn’t sleep, and i missed you.” he covered himself under the blankets, pulling you close to him.

you hummed in acknowledgment, melting into his arms since they were still wrapped around your waist. you traced his lichtenberg scars carefully as to not disturb him while he tries to sleep.

“do giraffes get arthritis?” he says out of nowhere, breaking the comfortable silence between you two.

“what??” you giggled, turning to face him.

he furrowed his eyebrows together, his eyes still closed, “i mean think about it, all those knee…things. it would make sense, yknow” even with his explanation being surprisingly logical, you still wondered where this question came from.

“go to sleep kaminari” you snorted, kissing in between his eyebrows.

and soon, it was quiet again. he finally went to sleep, and you could feel yourself drifting as well. closing your eyes, you began to wonder if giraffes really did get arthritis.
