The Vampire Diaries (Season 1)

Season 1 Episode 1

Episode Name: Pilot

Irina had finally returned back to Mystic Falls, after 1000 years of abandoning her own family. She wanted to start her life over and be the new kid in town, she knew that starting high school was the best way to go so she could be a normal kid again, well that is what she thought. Irina made her way to Mystic Falls high school, she finally arrived as she stood in front of the big school building, people rushed by as they rushed to get to school in time. Irina wasn’t one of those kids who liked to be late either but she wasn’t going to be a mad kid and start rushing, she knew that she would make it in time anyway. The young blond started walking along the path of the school grounds, she watched as different people walked by her, looking at people from head to toe, just to see what styles of clothes they wore. Thank goodness she knew what century it was and had the right clothes on, but she always likes new styles that were unique to her.

The blond walked across the school grounds as she headed to the main entrance of the high school, she walked up to the wooden doors of the high school and used her right hand to open one side of the doors. Irina stepped through the door way and the door slammed behind her as she looked down the high school corridors, she always liked to her surroundings in new places just to be aware of the dangers or threats that can come unexpectedly. Irina knew that she would fit in very well, she adapted very well in New York and any other countries she had encountered but she knew she was missing Mystic Falls to much. Mystic Falls is her hometown and that is the only thing she has left of Henrik Mikaelson, that is why she is so loyal to the town and won’t leave for any reasons. She walked down the corridor of the high school and headed to head teachers office, she needed to know what classes she had. As she arrived to the head teachers office and waited patiently outside the office, what is funny is she compelled the head teacher to give her a place in the school the night before. As soon as she heard the head teachers office door open she waited for instructions, she noticed the head teacher came out and called her into the office. “Hello, there, Irina right? Here is your timetable with all the class numbers on and also it says what subject you will be doing in each class.” The head teacher handed Irina the timetable and gave her a small smile. “I hope you adapt well to the school, better get to your first class so you don’t be late.” The head teacher smiled again and Irina returned with a small friendly smile as she opened the door of the head teachers office, and left as she shut the door behind her. She stood their in the corridor of the school again and looked to her timetable to see what her first lesson was, as she figured out what class room she had to go to, she started to walk left and headed to the class number that was on her timetable. Her first lesson was fairly easy and she loved learning school subjects, especially maths.

Irina entered the class to her first lesson, she took a look around the classroom just to get her bearings. She walked to a empty desk, and sat down as she took another glare at the other students that were entering the class room. The blonde just sat their and listened to the teacher for a whole hour, the lessons were long and even though she found them boring and would rather help people, she knew she had to do it to fit in and be normal like everyone else. The school day had finally ended, she was relieved and left the school grounds, she did over hear during the day that their was going to be a party soon. She loves parties, she was certainly going to enjoy herself, that was one way to fit in with the other students.

Irina had gone for a walk in the woods and ended up cutting through the cemetery, she could smell blood and followed the trail. As she approached a hill she noticed a brown haired girl standing there confused to where Stefan went. “Are you okay?” Irina gave a small smile as she looked over to the brown haired girl. “Yeah, I’m just hurt and visiting my parents grave.” Irina smiled and walked down the hill as she approached the girl, she smiled and wanted to make sure she was aright. “My name is Irina, nice to meet you. Do you need help? Or would you like me to walk you home?” Irina smiled and stood in front of Elena. “Nice to meet you Irina, I’m Elena. No I think I am OK, but it would be nice to walk home with someone.” Elena smiled over to Irina and then Irina returned the smile. “You might want to get your leg checked out, it looks like it is just a cut but it hasn’t stopped bleeding.” Elena smiled and the girls started walking up the hill and started chatting. “I see you tomorrow, it is nice as I am new at Mystic high school and haven’t made friends yet.” Irina smiled to Elena as the girls separated and Elena walked up to her house and waved over to Irina. “I see you tomorrow Irina.” Elena smiled and opened her front door of her house as she stepped inside and shut the door behind her. Irina smiled and kept walking down the path, she walked past the Salvatore house and sensed a vibe that seemed familiar, she didn’t approach as she wanted to be safe, so she headed to the Grill instead for something to eat. Irina approached to the Grill and opened the door, she walked in and noticed it was busy with people and took a sit at a empty table as she looked around the room to get her bearings. She noticed that Elena entereded the Grill with a boy, she got that sense again as he took one look over to Irina, he gave her nice look and looked back at Elena. She watched as Stefan, Bonnie, Elena and Caroline all sat at the table opposite her. Vicki came over to see if Irina wanted to order anything, she ordered a drink and a burger and fries. Just relaxing, Irina got her journal out and started writing in it about her day at school and when she first introduced herself to Elena. She knew memories were special and wanted to take note, she listened with her super hearing over to the table where Stefan, Bonnie, Elena and Caroline were and wanted to hear in on their conversations.

Elena noticed that Irina was sitting on a table near them and looked over smiling. “Hey, you want to come and join us?” Elena looked to Irina and offered her to come over and sit with them. “Sure.” Irina smiled and put her journal away before getting up and headed over to where they were all sitting. “Hey! I’m Irina.” As the blonde looked to Stefan, Caroline and Bonnie, she hadn’t met them yet and knew she needed to introduce herself. She took a seat next to Bonnie and smiled. “Hey, I’m Bonnie and this is Caroline.” Caroline and Bonnie both smiled over to Irina as she then looked to Stefan. “I’m Stefan.” He mentioned as he looked to Irina with a small grin upon his face. “It is nice to meet you all.” Irina smiled and listened to their conversation to see where she could join in.

It was the night of the party, the darkness filled the whole of Mystic Falls, the air felt dry. Irina was running through the woods in her pure black wolf form, her eyes glowed a bright golden colour as she ran through the woods more. She need to find a place she could get changed, she basically lived in the forest of Mystic Falls in wolf form. In New York City, she had a living, job and even a apartment but now since moving back to Mystic Falls, she had nothing and had to start all over again. That was when she thought living in wolf form for a while and till she got herself sorted, she actually was starting to feel low since returning back to Mystic Falls, her identity was still lost and she had no clue of who she was yet. The memories and nightmares came back of Henrik’s death, since a kid she use to suffer bad nightmares before Henrik died, they got worse after he died. This pure black wolf ran through the woods of Mystic Falls, as sticks crackled under her paws she approached where the party was located and looked at all the people through the trees, her eyes glowed a pure golden. Irina had shifted back into her human form, she sneaked into a house nearby just to get clothes, well stolen some clothes. Irina got dressed into a nice outfit that belonged to some strangers, she didn’t care as she could just compel rhe strnsgers to forget she was there in their house, she had to steal clothes a couple of times due to the fact she wasn’t earning actual money. She had stolen sweets and a fizzy drink from a shop once, and compelled the shop owner to forget everything. The blonde was being nosey quickly and took a look at the family photos all on the walls, their house walls was covered in so many pictures and frames. “Blimey! They must be extremely close family, and one of those types who have to take photos every year with Christmas jumpers on. Eeek, so glad I don’t have to do that.” As she mutters to herself, she could see the family were asleep so she headed for the front door but before leaving she of course had to look in their fridge for a drink or even food, as she opened the fridge and looked in, she saw a can of fizzy drink and stole that as well. “Best get out of here and join in with that crazy party.” Again muttering to herself, she would always speak to herself, she saw it as a normal thing to do in her mind. Irina left the house as she quietly shut the front door behind her, and used her vampire speed to get to that party. As she arrived it was so busy, kids were going crazy and drinking and till they were so drunk, at least she only had a couple of glasses of bourbon on the odd occasion but wasn’t all that bad. Plus she couldn’t get drunk anyway due to being a vampire.

Shape-shifting - She has the ability to shapeshift into a black wolf even though she isn’t a werewolf or werewolf hybrid. It is her special ability and is unique to her. It is similar to Damon Salvatore when he was able to control the crow in the beginning of The Vampire Diaries but instead Irina can shapeshift into a wolf and it is a wolf instead of a crow.

She has such a pure kind heart, she has never fed from the human vein since being a original vampire and only drinks of animal blood or human blood bags. Irina helps the weak and saves many lives, she doesn’t like seeing other vampires feed from the innocent and will fight them and kill them.

Irina is able to temporally heal humans or other supernaturals, she was able to take Sheriff Forbes pain temporally. She is able to ease other’s pain but only for a short period of time and then the pain will eventually come back.

Irina was born a witch, she was a very powerful witch, was turned into a original vampire by her mother Esther Mikaelson and shortly after she became a original vampire she ran away from her own family and disappeared for 1000 years and till she returned back to Mystic Falls.

Irina and Henrik were extremely close, they were inseparable and did everything together as children. When Henrik died, something changed within Irina, she became lost and unsure of herself and life itself. She withdrawn from her siblings, her friends and anyone else who cared for her, the one person she would speak to was Stefan Salvatore and that was it. Season one of The Vampire Diaries, Irina had finally returned to Mystic Falls after 1000 years. It is believed that Henrik and Irina weren’t to far apart in age, as children, Irina was a couple of years older then Henrik and they were literally best friends. After Henrik died, it broke Irina to 1000 pieces and she felt so lost within herself.

Irina is very protective of the innocent, she made a promise to Stefan Salvatore before he died that she would protect the innocent and Mystic Falls in his name. She kept that promise and was going to keep it, he even visited her from the other side as a spirit, although she couldn’t physically see him, he was there guiding her and sending signs.

She loves singing, dancing and listening to music, it one of her favourite things to do in her casual time. Half of the time she would be walking down the streets or through the woods with headphones on. Occasionally she sings and dances at places within Mystic Falls for fun not for profit, but to make people smile and happy.

She loves helping the sick or injured, animals or humans. One time she encountered a car accident on her run and noticed the woman in the car was badly harmed, she helped heal the woman enough so she wouldn’t lose blood and would make it to hospital in time. She has saved many animals and humans, a second time she saved three kids from a house fire. The mother and father of the kids got out in time but the kids got trapped, Irina managed to go into a burning house unharmed and saved the kids. Irina has control over her need to feed on human blood due to the fact she has never bitten a human in her vampire life or life, she has fed from animals or human blood bags. She is weaker then her siblings at times due to the fact animal blood doesn’t make vampires at their strongest but at their weakness. So when she see’s a human bleeding she can help them and won’t have a strong urge to feed on them like other vampires. She has control of herself and tends to remain strong, confident and independent, no matter the situations. If she was ever to feed off a human once, she may lose complete control due to the fact she has never bitten a human, or fed from one in her life, so it could make her crave human blood from the vein and become a ripper like Stefan or even as bad as Kol Mikaelson.

When Henrik Mikaelson and Irina were kids, they would always hang out at a big rock in Mystic Falls, Irina and Henrik had even carved their initials into the rock by using a knife. 1000 years later and the rock is still their and Henrik and Irina’s initials are still carved into the rock, Irina always visit the rock and sits or lays on it as she looks to the stars.

Irina is very stubborn, but is very caring and good hearted. She feels a strong empathy and connection of those around her, she always loves helping other’s in need. A couple of times she has taken some people’s pain away, she is such a confident and strong girl. Her parents made her a monster but the monster doesn’t take control of the good hearted girl within, she is full of empty and pure light, not darkness. Irina is very protective of those she cares about, she protected Elena a couple of times through The Vampire Diaries seasons. Her family, her friends she will protect them no matter what.

The night Damon Salvatore injured Vicki, she was their within the darkness and watched the whole thing. She was in her wolf form and did growl towards Damon in hopes to scare him away but it didn’t work. She then just ran off and stood from a distance, as anger built within her, before running through the crowd of people at the party. Of course half of the party people scream seeing a wolf, she didn’t care and she hoped it would make Damon stop hurting Vicki.

Irina has a brown leather diary, she has had it since she was young. It is a similar age to Irina and is old, but it is still in good condition and she writes in it everyday. It actually has so much written in her diary about the times her and Henrik use to spend time together and play as kids. She tends to keep all her memories in her diary or when times are rough she will write it down, when Stefan died she wrote a lot in her diary about her and Stefan and most of the things they both use to do together. She even wrote how the death of Stefan effected, and has written a lot of bad experiences in her diary also. Like the time she saw Vicki getting harmed in the woods by Damon, and how bad she actually felt that she couldn’t help, that made her feel hopeless. Irina’s diary is very special and she takes it with her everywhere, she will always find a peaceful place to write in her diary, such as her favourite rock in the woods where she use to spend most of her time with Henrik as kids.

A couple of times Irina has appeared in Legacies, one time she was in her wolf form and the other just in person enjoying time with her friend Josie.

Irina still remains in Mystic Falls and protects it with her life, she occasionally helps Hope and Alaric with any threats.

When Irina was young, she would take Henrik to their favorite place in the forest and she would make the fireflies all go into one place by using her telekinesis.

Irina doesn’t want any romantic relationship, as she prefers being single and free. She says that having a boyfriend would mean nothing to her and she would eventually get bored. She says that having close connections with people and having loyal friends is all she needs more then any romantic relationship. She doesn’t want to get dedicated to anyone, she fears losing those she cares about and feels insecure about being in any relationship with anyone. Single for life, no kids or romantic relationships for Irina, just a kind hearted girl and true loyalty to the innocent. All her siblings have had true love and romantic relationships while Irina has just saved so many innocent lives and thinks that is the best life to follow.

Irina can translate elder futhark runes and other ancient runes, she has helped many in TVD with translating runes and other ancient language.
