Juan blinked for a bit, eyes adjusting themselves before seeing who it was. It was... Now that he thought about it, he's never seen this girl before. The first time he actually saw her was in the trial.
Ah yes, that mess of a trial. Oh how he loathed it.
His lips stayed in a thin line as he listened to the girl try to stutter out an apology or whatever. As much as playing the guitar usually calmed him down, this one instance didn't.
"... You're not being rude, no worries." the arnisador finally replied, his brows unfurled and returning to its usual neutral state. "And thank you. This thing's been the only thing that's been keeping me sane at the very least. I'm glad you enjoy it, though."
A little compliment can go a long way, as the saying goes.
"Anyways, what have you been doing? Before this conversation that is."
(Ab)Normal Days || *More Angry Guitar Strumming Noises* || Juan [ATTN: Gilda]
Calming down after such a hectic trial was of course far from being an easy task, it was something that would follow Gilda and haunt her for the rest of her life- whether it be a short or full. The execution replayed over and over again as she walked through the empty school halls, barely taking any notice to any fellow students she may have passed by.
A nagging feeling in the back of her mind kept telling her that no one liked her after that trial, voting for someone out of fear and confusion and almost getting them killed. The problem wasn’t that she wanted anyone dead…She just…didn’t know defaulting the vote was an okay thing to do whether it be possible or not.
'What a nitwit I am…'
But her thoughts were soon interrupted once she heard the strum of a guitar. Standing in the middle of the hall way, she turned around and waited for whatever was emitting the beautiful, relaxing tune with her eyes closed shut and her body swaying. She almost felt as if she could dance…
Her eyes snapped open and the serene look on her face soon vanished after the boy spoke, Gilda staring at him with fearful eyes and a frown. He didn’t sound very happy to see her…
"U-um…NoI suppose you cannot help me- none of us can really be helped in this situation- but I…Oh dear, pardon me for being so rude…! I was just hearing this beautiful melody so I decided to stand here to get a good listen…Do forgive me for my forwardness…But you are very skilled…You play it so beautifully…"

Him? Spooked? ... Okay yeah, he did get spooked a little, but only a little. As if this place wasn't spooky enough already... Or maybe he was used to spooky stuff? Juan wasn't sure anymore.
But that wasn't the point!
When Artie mentioned about 'huntin fer clues', the arnisador's eyes noticeably widened. It was as if they were in some same wavelength or something, wonders of wonders.
"Yeah. Actually, I was. Have yet to find anything though."
Which was true in itself, really.

Juan hadn't gone far yet, nor had he found anything useful, but that probably worked in Artie's favor, as it was enough to grab the arnisador's attention without provoking him to do anything rash (like, let's say, hit him with a stick). Even though he still hasn't calmed down from the trial, or to be more specific, is channeling the emotions from the trial into his search, he was more tame compared to earlier.
The first emotion that ran towards him as he came to face Artie was surprise. The next was disappointment in, surprisingly, himself. But did he show any of that? The first one, yes. The second one...
"Hello."
Not so much.
What else could he say? He felt like he disappointed the photojournalist by doubting himself, but at the same time he kept telling himself that that wasn't his problem. But there was also that bubbling feeling taking the form of trust that he felt was forming between the two of them, much to Juan's chagrin.

Mono Theater || Patay || Juan [OPEN]
All he started hearing after he spoke his piece was static. Whatever Toshiro started saying, static. Whatever Artie said, static. Whatever Mono-Oni said, static. Whatever Shou said, static.
It was all just static static static static static static static static static static static static static static
- = B E E P = -
He didn’t bother responding to whatever Toshiro had said. If anything, he believed that he had said everything that needed to be said; he didn’t want to be a broken record. However, that didn’t excuse Juan’s look of disinterest towards everything once the trial started wrapping up.
(But can anyone even notice the difference? The problem with Juan is that his disinterested face is the same face he has on every day, so good luck.)
Everything about the entire trial was absolute hell, and Juan didn’t want to think about it anymore. He muddled on his own thoughts and came to a solution, a new form of resolve one might say. And it was to find the mastermind of this place. Mono-Oni himself had said it before, right? That someone within the group was behind all this? Well, for his sake and everyone’s, that’s what he was going to do. Find some clues, pin them down, and finally escape.
First he had to do some more exploring around the place.

To both boys' surprise, as Juan plucked the strings again, there seemed to be no damage to the guitar, not even the nylon strings were broken or ready to break any time soon.
"It sounds like it does."
He strummed this time, making sure to pass all six strings, a good sound of music vibrating as a result, ensuring the two that the instrument was, indeed, working. Even with Juan knocking on its exterior, an audible 'thump' can be heard, instead of anything cracking due to old age or wear or what have you.
"... Hmm."
Just to be sure for one more time, he proceeded to play a few notes to a song, before catching himself, remembering that Shou was still here.
"Yup, it is." he confirmed with a grin, looking at the brown-eyed teen.
(Ab)Normal Days || Acoustic Beats || Juan [ATTN: Shou]
Shou tried to help. He moved and looked around the perimeter. Though he didn’t do a very good job. The place was dark and he feared falling into some hole or hurting himself on debris. He wanted to help bu there wasn’t much he could do. He didn’t even know what he was looking for. Let alone what was actually there.
Thanks to a certain friendly ghost not named Casper, they did manage to find it. And by they, he meant mostly just Juan. Shou kicked of just nudged things with his toe and hoped something not evil and wanting to kill him would turn up, or that it wouldn’t be broken. Though that was an impossible wish seeing how most everyone here was in a poor shape, including the not so friendly ghosts.
"Oh! That’s great news! It’ll be so much better to listen to you play than anything else coming from this old place! Does it work?"
He moved closer to the boy, looking over the guitar. Shou was hoping it wasn’t like the rest of the place and a bit of light.

Eyes darted around the room, looking for an instrument that he hoped he had some sense of familiarity to. Unfortunately, he can't seem to find any. Juan's fingers seemed to twitch as he looked for a particular instrument, the one he had in mind at least.
"Not really. It's like a passing hobby of mine." he replied, looking around for the third time for a that one instrument. "I can only play two instruments, and that's about it."
He still couldn't see it.
"And, indeed. It's a shame."
Hanging his head in defeat as he looked around the room for a fourth time (were his eyes that bad or was it really that dark?), Juan had resorted to asking Momoko if there was a guitar in the room, and lucky him there was, tucked away in the corner, concealed by rubble and other debris. If Shou listened carefully, he probably would have heard Juan go "yes!", and see some sort of victorious grin etched on his face.
"I usually played a guitar while waiting for our teachers to arrive back in grade school."
The arnisador explained as he thanked the ghost girl with a smile, getting the guitar and plucking a few strings, adjusting them accordingly. His green eyes seemed to be glimmering as he did so. Was he really that excited?
"I... I'm just really happy right now that there's a guitar here, haha."
Probably yes.
(Ab)Normal Days || Acoustic Beats || Juan [ATTN: Shou]
He glanced around the room when he finished talking. Shou was never musically inclined. Though, he did agree. This place would be far better if it wasn’t dead silent.
"It would sure liven up the place. Are you much of a musician?"
He glanced between the instruments.
"It’s kind of a shame that our musician died before this room opened up, don’t you think? A bit ironic almost. Though, it doesn’t much help us now."
He really hoped this guy was somewhat gifted with musics. Anything would sound better than the creaking of floor boards and the jumbled, grumbled, groans of the dead.

Is there a guitar or something in the music room?

"Hmm? Oh, yeah, it’s…oh, it’s in the corner. No wonder you didn’t see it, haha! Have fun, okay? But, um. Don’t…don’t stay in here too long. It’s a bad place. A super duper bad place!"

He merely gave a nod in response to Shou's thanks. For someone who talks a lot during trials, he seems to be a man of few words. Or is that just your imagination?
He did blink, however, towards the other's question.
"Well, you could say I was also investigating the new areas, too. And by impulse, the music room was the first place I went to."
Looking around, he could see some instruments laying around, the most notable one being the huge piano collapsed on the ground, probably broken beyond repair. It makes one wonder how it got there and what happened.
"... When I heard that this room was here, I guess I just wanted to play something." the boy confessed. "It's really unbearable that there's no music."
(Ab)Normal Days || Acoustic Beats || Juan [ATTN: Shou]
With a name in mind, it was a bit more comfortable talking to this guy. Putting a name to someone or something made it feel more real and with ghosts floating around and everyone out for each other’s neck, a reality check now and again was good.
"Juan, ok, I should be able to remember that then! Thanks!"
He said i several times in his head. Juan. Juan. Juan Yoshida. It was pretty simple and this guy didn’t have much competition in his mind yet so things were fine.
"Oh, right, you came here for a reason, didn’t you? Or are you just looking around too?"

As Shou had confirmed that, indeed, that was his name, Juan gave out a sigh of relief, along with a slight smile. Okay, good. So this wasn't going to be so bad after all, maybe.
(Goddammit Juan! Why don't you think positive for once? Remove the doubt in that train of thought!)
... Now that he did have a better look at this Shou person, wasn't he the-- Immediately at the thought, the arnisador silenced himself. Remove that thought immediately. That was unfair.
"Then I might as well introduce myself once again." the teen said, before bowing to the other. "I'm Juan Yoshida, but you can just call me Juan."
(Ab)Normal Days || Acoustic Beats || Juan [ATTN: Shou]
He smiled at nodded. He didn’t exactly mind being alone. There were certain reasons for his isolated investigation but that didn’t mean the company was unwanteed. It made the room feel a tad less eerie, a tad less threatening, and a tad more welcoming.
"Oh yeah! That’s me! Sorry, I really am better with names but the introductions during the first trial were kind of this big blur to me. It didn’t help my mind was everywhere but where it was supposed to be then."
He chuckled, rubbing his neck in apology. Honestly, he hadn’t met many people outside of the trial so it was hard for him to remember names. Name tags, orders: there was awlays something for him to connect name to person. The only thing he got so far was death.

Juan shook his head at the other's offer.
"N-No, you can stay, if you were still investigating this room. And besides," he entered the music room, adjusting the strap of his bag once again "I don't think anyone would want to be alone right now."
Maybe that was the wrong thing to say, but still, his message was (hopefully) clear: he was pretty okay with the guy being here.
"You're... Shou, right?"
The arnisador hoped he got the guy's name right. Otherwise this'd be an awkward conversation to start.
(Ab)Normal Days || Acoustic Beats || Juan [ATTN: Shou]
Shou had made it a habit to explore this surroundings when provided the chance. For the most part, he was interested to see what each new room had in it. After finding Marco’s corpse in one room, he was interested if he could find any others. There were also other surprises waiting in the new rooms.
He remembered the spirit of the last corpse found, Saki and for some reason, his thoughts brought up to this room. He wasn’t exactly sure why. He probably should have avoided it but instead it was on his list of places to visit.
Like the rest of the place, it was dark and eerie when he was by himself. He wasn’t quite sure what was around any of the corners and didn’t know if there as anything out to get him. Of course, that strain of thought vanished when someone else walked in.
"Oh, heh, no you are perfectly fine. I was looking around. I can leave if you would prefer."

(Ab)Normal Days || Acoustic Beats || Juan [ATTN: Shou]
After spending god knows how long in his room, Juan finally decided to check around the areas that Momoko had opened for them. Maybe he should do his own rounds of investigating too, but…
“Eh. Bahala na.”
He’ll figure something out on investigating later. He wasn’t really the kind to check things out unless prompted. And that may be a bad thing. But as long as he was cautious, it should be okay, right?
Right?
The arnisador’s thoughts were disturbed as he noticed a particular new room. A music room…? He thought, There’s a music room here?
For some reason, excitement took over him at the thought of a music room. His MP3 had long run out of battery since he came here, and he had this odd desperation to just have any form of music play, even if he had to be the one to play it. His instrumental ability is only limited to guitars and sometimes beatboxes, but that was enough for him. He just really needed to have music play. The silence was eating at him and his sanity, even if he didn’t show it publicly.
He had an image to maintain, after all.
As he entered the music room, which was just as worn down as every other room, he noticed that someone else was already there, and had beaten him to the punch.
Now we wouldn’t want to disturb someone now, would we?
"Ah, sorry. I didn’t know someone was already in this room. I could… Leave if you want." he said.

Theater + (Ab)Normal Days || Pick Up Sticks || Juan [RE: Watson]
He cringed. He cringed throughout everything that happened. From Saki showing up to Nikki’s execution, Juan’s body just felt stiff. He watched everything out of respect, but it still froze him to the core.
However, the star of the show here was definitely Watson. If his memory served him correctly, wasn’t he the guy who… No, he can’t think of anything about the guy. Said guy barely spoke in the first trial, and frankly, this served as his first impressions of the guy. And the first impression was not good.
Maybe from some other perspective, the guy had a point. But just like radio newscasters, he had the problem of sensationalizing. And sensationalizing in a situation where almost all hope is lost is not what you’d like to hear.
As Momoko winked at them due to some unknown reason and left, the arnisador debated whether he should check around or go to his room first. He decided on the latter, but not before saying something to the ‘guy’. The first thing he said was a mere ‘hey’. The next thing that Juan said as he passed by Watson to go to his room was rather… disconcerting, for anyone who might have heard it.
"I would watch your back if I were you. The dog with the biggest bark may not have the biggest bite."

School Trial || Like a shooting star || Juan [RE: culprit confession]
No words. That was all Juan could offer. His neighbor in the trial room, Nikki, was the guilty one this round. For some reason, it made him feel on edge that he was right next to a culprit.
But of course, there was nothing he could do. And it wasn’t his right to just blame them as a cold-blooded killer, right? Here, in this place, they were all a victim of circumstance, a circumstance that they couldn’t control. As much as he’d like to just go and blame them and be on his merry way… That’d be wrong. Just like it was wrong of him to be angry for not voting for Sei last time.
Because then, Juan would be a hypocrite, or at least someone who views himself higher than the others when it wasn’t true. All he could do as some form of respect is take hold of the rosary he always kept in his pocket and offer a prayer or two to both Saki and Nikki.

Is it alright to ask for a current list of public evidences?
Sure!
Saki is looking directly at Tokaji Uzaki’s dorm door.
Her scarf, and Mana’s jacket, are on the floor in Mana’s dorm room.
Mana’s door was left wide open.
There is a faint blood trail leading back to Mana’s dorm.
There is a large blood puddle in Mana’s dorm, and in the center, the floor is damaged.
Mana’s desk chair has been destroyed, and one leg of it is bloodier than the rest.
