As promised here is the step-by-step guide (2nd image) for the hanging plant I shared yesterday. Reading the guide: Gray lines are previous steps. Red ♥️ lines are the current steps. Why is the guide so messy?: Art is messy. Social media already has an overabundance of smoke and mirrors -- I want to be genuine. On that note, the first image is simply an example of how this can look when it's finished. The reason it came out so well is because I enjoyed drawing it so much the first few times, that I just kept repeating it. I couldn't wait to see how my talents improved or changed next. Yesterday, @postcircle asked that we tag them in our bullet journal posts. I've started a new journal in November, and have changed my bullet journal aesthetic quite a bit (yes again). Here you see the last few days. This time, instead of using 1 page per day, I'm allowing my journal to breathe. Where one day ends, I doodle or begin the next day. You can also see one of my collections here. I struggled to understand what the "collections" aspect of journaling was because it really depends on the person. I recently learned more about them by watching @rachaelestephen on her YouTube channel (highly recommend). Behind the scenes: • My husband had foot surgery on Friday the 22nd of October. Since he's been on bedrest, I haven't had much time to get a lot of work done. He's doing fine, though there was a complication with this surgery so he'll have to have additional surgery later on. • Our pets have been helping with his care. It's been really cute to watch. • A few weeks ago, said pets found their way into my crafts box. So today's project is cleaning the mess they made of it and scheduling out some projects with that. Regarding the crafts box, for those who may not know me that well yet, I've been a crafter in some capacity or other for most of my life. This tackle box is how I store all things related to creativity, except my yarn and cloth. I love tinkering with everything here. Crafts I've experienced so far (to my memory): Crochet, knitting (I'm best at crochet), scrapbooking, woven friendship bracelets and keychains, beaded jewelry... And the list is probably longer.
