Howdy, in our web journal for today we will be going over sex imbalance in sports. Addressing these inequalities is not just a matter of fairness, it is basic for the development and supportability of sports. One of the greatest cases of sex imbalance is “the pay gap” between male and female players. In numerous sports, ladies get significantly lower pay rates than their male counterparts, indeed when they accomplish similar levels of victory. For example: In the NBA vs. WNBA the normal salary of an NBA player is around $8 million, whereas the normal WNBA compensation is around $120,000. This means NBA players gain approximately 67 times more than WNBA players, and this report from The U.S. Women's National Soccer Group has battled for equal pay, highlighting that they earned significantly less despite winning numerous championships. In 2019, a report appeared that female players earned approximately 38% of what male players made in total compensation. And, Female competitors also tend to get less sponsorship and support deals compared to male competitors, which compounds the in general income gap. Overall, the pay hole can run from 20% to over 70% lower for female competitors compared to their male partners, depending on the sport and setting. Tending to these aberrations proceeds to be a vital focus for advocates of sexual orientation balance in sports. This is an insane distinction in pay!!!! Credits:

PLAYER SAFTEY IN SPORTS
Hello, in today’s blog we will be going over a growing concern of player safety in sports and how if it does not change soon many players will die. As we all know, athletes devote their lives to their sports, frequently pushing their bodies to the limit. However, this interest of greatness can lead to serious wounds, both intense and chronic. Guaranteeing player security is not only an ethical basis but also fundamental for the life span of the sport itself. Competitors who endure preventable wounds may confront significant wellbeing issues afterward in life, which can hurt the reputation of sports organizations and hinder future members. If the reputation of sports organizations hinders future members because of the scary injuries and deaths of previous players, people who adore the sport will not be able to watch or go to the games they once did in person, anymore which will also lead to the sport organizations to close, as they won’t make money if nobody goes to watch, which could lead to a disastrous extinction of sports. This concern of player safety can be solved by: (designing better helmets for football players) to (making sure grass is not slippery). These simple changes can save players and the sport itself. A Call For Change (Racism In Sports)
Hello there, in today’s web journal we will investigate how racial separation impacts players on the field. Numerous sports players are involved in racial discrimination both on and off the field. Which incorporates unequal treatment and lack of representation in leadership parts. A few players who have been racially slurred at and treated unequally because of their color or race, are for example: Lebron James: has been vocal around racial discrimination and has encountered racial slurs both in person and online. There have been numerous other players like Mohamed Salah, Colin Kaepernick, Adams Goods, etc. This needs to be changed as Sports should be a level playing field where perseverance and hard work are recognized, regardless of race. Players can also be affected on the field in numerous different ways, if this does not alter numerous players will be influenced on the field, and they could experience stress, anxiety, and discouragement. Players that are racially segregated it may influence their performance and focus on game, segregation can make divisions inside teams, leading to a lack of trust and cohesion. It may cultivate a threatening environment that influences teamwork and collaboration, which could lead to losing games. CREDITS:

Drug Usage in SPORTS
Hi, in today’s blog, we will explore the types of drugs commonly used, the reasons behind their use, the consequences, and the ongoing efforts to combat this issue. Some drugs people use in sports are, Anabolic steroid, Growth Hormone, Narcotic, doping, etc. To understand the use of drugs in sports we must understand that winning any game in sports leads to the players being rewarded and bonus in money. So, players decide to drug themselves to gain an advantage over other people and teams over the risks these drugs have on their bodies. For example, if 2 players are competing in a bicycle competition after a while a normal person will get tired but the guy that is drug will be able to keep on pedaling as the drugs boost their energy levels and other things in their body. The consequences of using these drugs are both short- and long-term effects; the short-term effects being worsening acne, balding, heart disease, liver damage, anxiety, and depression. The long-term effects are shortening athletes’ career, legal issues to possession or distribution of illegal drugs, criminal charges. The ongoing efforts to combat this issue are Anti-Doping Agencies for ex. (WADA) or (World Anti-Doping Agency) that set international standards for the control of people that dope, and these agencies have established a prohibited substance list and increased testing protocols before games to test if players were doping.
