Vic and Helena’s everything in the DCAU is a thousand times funnier when you consider the fact that Vic has canonically been hardcore crushing on her for a while.

like. first, his crush opens his door, fires a crossbow at him, says she’s heard he’s crazy. okay, he manages a snarky comeback and tries to go back to work. he can handle this. 

She enters his room and closes the door behind her. He tells her that he’s bored and she should go away. She insults him. he tells her to go away again. 

then she tries to touch his conspiracy board, he tells her not to touch it. she asks him about his conspiracy theory about the girl scouts causing crop circles. He tries to give his typical speech about how no one asks the right questions. She is unimpressed, and then she specifically tells him he sees connections where none exist, using a big ass vocabulary to do so. 

She then gives him a nickname. 

She then sits on his desk and crosses her legs and he very pointedly doesn’t look. 

She then blatantly lies to his face and claims that she knows things about Cadmus, in exchange for his help dealing with her childhood trauma. WHICH HE KNOWS IS A LIE.

And his only response is. “hmm. Interesting.“

god I love this dumbass man who fell even further in love the moment the woman of his dreams started mocking him.
