This is more of a suggestion, It’s probably best not to post vents like this onto a a site of this nature, tone, context, etc. can be very eaisly lost between loads of people reblogging, talking, etc. it’s okay to feel this way, not everyone likes umbrellas I don’t like some myself.

But vents similar to this nature could come across as a “it’s bad” even if not intended. My rambles where made for a more larger audience due to some folks in the radqueer community can get angry at “replace-ids” (think: Dissomei, Desirdae, etc.), and there could be a possibly that some may account the umbrella of atypical dysphoria as such.

Langue grows, and dysphoria is used as a umbrella simlar to how atypical dysphoria, so people may default to just saying dysphorias when referring to dysphoria, witch does not undermined the very serious dysphorias others face,

I myself (as been on my pin) struggle with addiction dysphoria, it’s something I fight with day in and day out. And I don’t doubt the dysphorias you have listed you also struggle with.

Langue is complicated and how words evolve can cause hiccups in understandings. I’m sorry the communities around atypical dysphoria have made you and others feel invalid for the struggles you go though. While I myself am anti-radqueer (anti harassment as well) due to issues I see there I also can recognize you are all people, who struggle and succeed in life.

I’m open to talk about things around the topic on my coining blog @redacted-coiner or on here. I wish that those who struggle with any type of dysphoria not to be mocked or insulted for what they struggle with.

I hope you and those who deal with any type of dysphoria a good day, and feel free to ask me questions within my asks or just reposts.

Edit note: btw when i speak of a vent, i should clarify. Vents about opion based things, being venting about ur day or like whats goin on is something i even do lol.

Atypical Dysphpria is literally only a umbrella term, it’s not replacing every other term you stated, and no one really says “the dysphoria” they say Gender Dysphoria.

Dysphoria is such a large category that has been used for multiple things over the years, weight, looks, height, etc. have all contributed and used with the term dysphoria.

Atypical is purely used to state “hey this isn’t commonly recognized” that’s it. It’s atypical being a decent chunk of the population doesn’t know about it, making it atypical. Terms like atypical dysphoria does not erase, replace or correct over terms. It was a language made to explain a large amount of terms in simpler words.

No one is forcing you to use the term, no one forces you or others to use the term. However a lot of folks like it being it gives them a community.
