no it does not! this trade gives the mystics the right to swap their first round pick (from minnesota) with connecticut’s first round pick (from new york) for the 2026 draft. since minnesota and new york are both expected to make DEEP playoff runs this year, this should not terribly affect the draft order. at present, it’s like swapping the #15 pick for the #14 pick:

if that’s too confusing, just know that it’ll likely move one of the mystics’ first round picks next year up a spot at the very end of the round! (assuming the lynx outperform the liberty in the playoffs)
