Overview of Software Testing:

Testing – From the name itself we can know that there is a product or service which requires quality check before it is exposed to the market or reaches the customer. Testing is the only thing which can provide the quality assurance for the products or services. Over the years, due to increase in demand for various types of necessary and luxurious items development has increased gradually and therefore the scope of testing has parallelly increased yielding lot of job opportunities in the market.

Now let’s see what are the types of testing.

Testing can be broadly divided into 2 categories:

i).Manual testing- This type of testing is necessary in order to check whether the product or service is not having any or less defects/bugs. Lot of people are engaged in performing such type of testing. Though the manual testing can reduce the defects/bugs to certain extent, there remains a chance of not getting a bug free product. This is due to the product or services being tested by human beings and human being can make mistakes. Also, other disadvantages of manual testing are:

a).It requires lot of resources- For this companies need to invest more on the resources

b).More time consuming- Since it is manual or done by human beings, it consumes more time

In order to overcome the above issues, there evolved the idea of automation testing

ii).Automation testing- This type of testing requires a testing tool which can interact with the UI of the applications. For this there are 2 types of tools in the market.

a).Open source tools- These are free tools and any individual person or any company can start using to test the applications. Some of the common tools are Selenium, Katalon Studio, Cucumber, Sikuli, Appium. 

b).Licensed tools-

These are costly tools and requires commercial licenses to be purchased in order to work with the tool. Some of the common tools include Worksoft Certify, TOSCA, QTP. Among these Worksoft Certify, TOSCA are the scriptless tools which attract lot of customers across the world.

You can be your own travel planner

Travelling is one of the most important activity which brings happiness and joy to our monotonous lives. Travelling can be achieved by individuals, couples, family, friends or group of people. While you decide to travel new places you must do some homework and become a good travel planner before you start the journey.

Let’s discuss the key points for travel planner:

1.Duration of travel- Many of us are service man/woman  and hence associated with some organizations, so you need to figure out how many days you can manage leaves for the travel. For people who are business man/woman , non working or retired they can definitely have their own choice and schedule and for them it is very easy to decide on the duration. While we talk about the elder generation we must not forget the schedule of children who are school/college goers. So, if you are a student then definitely you need to wait for a vacation like summer, winter, festival times for long tours. However, a short trip can be made in weekends.

2.Choice of visiting place- Well this is something which can be planned based the season you are planning to travel. If it is summer then hill stations, riversides, jungles and safaris will be better option. If it is winter you have multiple choice like deserts, sea beaches, forts, resorts. For rainy season it would be good to visit fountains.

3.Travel Budget-This is of course purely your choice. However spending some handful for knowing great places, taking glimpse of new cultures, tasting varieties of foods, sometimes learning few other languages and most important is feeling the beauty of this heavenly earth cannot be comprised. Well for distant places if you have short time in hand and you need to cover up more places then better to avail flights else journey by trains with chit chatting, trying to know the crossing station names, mingling with co-passengers and sharing short stories with them are some of the other modes of refreshment. For lodging select some medium budget hotels or guest house  but plan to travel as much places as possible rather than spending more time in the hotels or guest house. For food lovers , definitely taste varieties of foods but better not to overload and fall sick during the tour.

4.Map and places to visit-Before travelling do a study about what are the places that you can visit and how far they are from the lodging place. You can categorize the places to visit based on the distance , mode of transport and understanding the assumed time to spend in that particular place. Also after you visit to the place you can talk to multiple local people such as hotel receptionist, drivers etc. to have an idea about this and adjust your planning accordingly.

5.Photography-This is a must and comes automatically within all. In order to capture lovely places and moments and your ages in frames photography becomes mandatory. So carry a good quality camera with you. However, now a days mobile has minimized the use of camera by the travellers. So this is your choice now..

6.Things to carry-

Apart from outfits , do carry some common medicines which might be needed in emergency. Carry goggles, hats, sunscreen lotions to prevent yourself from heat.
