Due to a user, who's account is now gone as far as I know, I would like to make a post discussing safety within our little corner of the Internet. I will not mention the user by name and have only observed from the side lines, but I felt like it was important to talk about anyways.

Callout posts can be important- Warning people of someone who's dangerous is important! BUT. Calling out people who have done little to nothing wrong can be a very slippery slope, can be highly unnecessary and wash out actual warnings.

"What justifies are callout?"

☾ Ask yourself the following questions: Is the person actively hurting someone with what they are doing? Is the problem I have with them something private between a group of people or a public problem? Has the problem I have with them already been resolved in the past and is no longer actively happening/They have grown and shown change since then?

People make mistakes, people are allowed to grow. Sometimes it can be a simple misunderstanding, someone was misinformed of something... ect.

If your problem with someone is simply "they used a wrong tag!", they might simply be misinformed, not know better or have been told it was okay by someone else.

Communicate first! Communication is IMPORTANT. If the Problem you have with someone can be solved by simply talking to them, it probably doesn't justify making a public announcement and calling them every book in the name and making accusations against them.

"What if I tried communicating with the other person and the problem doesn't resolve? What if I think the problem I have with them goes past a simple misunderstanding and borders on the territory of abuse, grooming or other equal terrible situations?"

☾ If you suspect any of the ones mentioned, what you first need to do is step back and take a deep breath. It is not to let the person continue with terrible behavior but for you to have a calm and mature mindset where you don't rush into a situation and possible get caught in a mess.

Do you have proof what what you suspect/claim/know is happening? Proof is IMPORTANT. It actively strengthens your side of the argument. Making an accusation without it is hearsay, and stating what happened between you and another person is testimony. Now, testimony can be important as well! But proof is the thing that makes any argument you make either solid or fall apart.

Gather yourself, gather your thoughts, gather evidence if you think you need it.

☾ Read the entire post first, look over any evidence they have submitted and come to an informed opinion on the situation. It is important to not just spread any word like it is gospel on the internet. I have seen it over and over again thanks to (or sadly) being on the internet since a young age. A doc gets spread, people belief it without reading and looking over evidence, just until they are informed that the person who made the doc/callout was wrong and possibly lied about a lot of stuff.

☾ Padded regressors are valid, exist and are not part of the kink community. Some may need it medically, it helps them regress, it calms them mentally... ect.

☾ Adult littles exist. Not just people in their teens or their early adulthood. People who are 30 and above can regress as well and are not any less valid.

☾ There are people who are furries and are regressors as well. They can draw their sonas as littles if they wish without it being connected to the kink community.

☾ You may not like it, but some tags are blurry and lots of people may misunderstand and misuse them. Communication is key and context is important.

Guys why is it so hard to find friends in the agere community? •᷄‎ࡇ•᷅ I feel like every time I join an agere server on discord or an agere community they have some weird rule that stops you from fully regressing like shaming regressors who use diapers/incontinence aids or having a rule where you have to translate your baby talk.
