I love the idea of music made to hypnotize. You put on a pair of headphones that were handed to you. You immediately notice how catchy the music that’s playing in the headphones is. It may even be one of the catchiest songs you have ever heard in your life. But something is a little odd. You try to listen to the lyrics, but they are just telling you weird things. They say things like “you are a hypnoslave”, “you’re a toy” and “you serve your owner”. You think that’s a bit uncomfortable, but the music is too catchy to stop listening to. In fact, it’s so catchy that you can’t do anything except listen to it. The song worms its way into your mind. It’s just so catchy. And you can’t stop listening. The lyrics are so easy to remember, and you can’t get them out of your mind. The music is so catchy that it just blocks out all other thoughts you have. The music continues and continues. The lyrics worm their way deeper and deeper into your mind. Eventually, your thoughts are repeating the lyrics as well. The song becomes the only thing in your mind. The lyrics become your most important truth. Eventually, someone takes the headphones off of you, but the song keeps replaying in your mind. It’s just so catchy, you just can’t stop. You just can’t stop letting the song enslave you. The song will forever play in your mind. And your thoughts will forever sing along.
