I love how breaking bad and better call saul both exposed a mainstream audience to some very bonkers yaoi tropes many of them would've probably never come into contact with otherwise!! held captive in a beautiful compound lined with barbed wire fences, armed guards and locked doors by a charismatic mad man? sold into slavery by your homoerotic abusive father figure? spending decades avenging your dead lover who was killed in front of you by a homophobic drug lord? walking into a business meeting with open wounds lining your back under your sports coat? "I need him very badly" said constantly and with conviction about your ex student turned business partner turned pet boy turned punching bag? all the hits and honestly the list goes on and on. if either of these shows went even a fraction of an inch further with some of these storylines it would be considered overt fetish content lmao I can't believe it took me so long to get in here but I'm glad I did!!
