This month I celebrate 3 years working at @hgdstudio and ✩ ⇥ 16 years ⇤ ✩ since my first paid interior design position!!! (Where I worked 2 years for the architects @tonfontdevila and @viladomat2 in a small town in the Catalan Pyrenees, until I moved to Barcelona).

After a period of 4 years studying a BA degree and summer-working in Barcelona, I was offered a position as interior design manager for @redseahotels in #Egypt, which it was an incredible opportunity that could not be turned down. I moved to the marvellous country until I had to leave the country due to political unrest.

⋆

I then returned to my beloved #Barcelona during the financial crisis where there were NO JOBS. So I ventured to London on my own.⋆(Fast-forward) Luckily, I was hired to work as an interior designer in the largest private residence in London (for 3 years and until the project came to an end)! It was like winning the lottery, as this is a once in a life-time opportunity to work with the best people in the industry with no budgets!

I feel very fortunate for my journey.Who would have said that a girl from a tiny village in the mountains would have gone such a long way to pursue her dreams? (Certainly not my dad 😅 ).It’s not been an easy path but looking back I can certainly say it’s been adventurous and a lot of fun!

Today it’s (one of many) World Meditation Day! Keep calm and take a deep breath. . . Taking care of your inner self is as important as taking care of your body. At the beginning it may be challenging to make time to get into the habit; however times like #Covid19’s lockdown is a perfect opportunity to start your routine. . Modern life can be relentless and might be stressful; but with the right tools, we all have the potential to be healthier and happier. I’m using the app @balance for my meditation plans (it’s a paid app but it’s 100% worth it), and @insighttimer for single meditations, which contains more than 45k free meditations suitable for all levels. . I am sharing this information with you as part of the #findingfulfillment series for the #mentalhealthawarenessweek @mentalhealthfoundation. Today it was about showing attitude and gratitude by joining the #passthepraise campaign. . I’ve been doing it for some time and I can’t stop! I’m currently in the advanced plan. since the lockdown I’ve meditated every single day with no exception for a total of over 1600 minutes. . Remember that it takes an average of 66 days to build a habit, so the sooner you start the better! .
