I know it's been mentioned that MR!Mychael's affection would probably be like a bear trap and normal Mychael's would be like a bird cage. That being the case, how would MR!Mychael keep MC there without hypnosis? Would he possibly cause.. "accidents" that prevent MC from leaving?

As for the question, I've answered before he's definitely the type to use direct/aggressive methods to get what he wants unlike OG!Mychael who just turns on the hypnosis beam and boom, gets what he wants.

So he'll steal, lie, cheat, and hurt if he needs to at the end of the day while assessing his victim with his mind-reading abilities. Put MC in that situation and well... it depends on their temperament and personality:

Are you empathetic and cry a lot? Make a sob story how he's never had a friend and you're the only one he has. Of course you'll stay you cute little bleeding heart! <3

Are you a coward with nary a brave bone in your body? Make a horror story about a serial killer in the woods! There's nowhere else that's safer than with him! <3

Are you brave and bold with plenty of courage? Haha! He also has plenty of rope!! <3

Getting him to like you at all is difficult. Getting him to let you go is even harder.
