Akutagawa & Knight! Akutagawa headcanons

So a fanfic I've read recently and the BSD manga gave me this little headcannon for the two, sooo enjoy!! Spoilers for the BSD Manga!!!

~Once Akutagawa gets his memories back, his new knight persona doesn't disappear but instead goes into his subconscious -He literally gains a voice of reason -He's about to kill someone on the job? 'A knight's job is to protect the innocent, not kill them!' -Being rude to coworkers? 'We must put faith in our brothers-in-arms.' -And Bram's last orders are very much still in effect. If there is nothing else to do, Knight will say something. 'If nothing else needs to be done, let us attend to Lady Aya.' He doesn't even know Aya!! -Needless to say, he hates this thing and is trying every possible way he can imagine to get Knight to shut up. And it's hilarious looking from an outside pov. -It's literally like that one meme where two guys are walking down the street and see a man yelling to himself, assume he's got an earbud in only for him to turn around and show no earbud in either ear, then they book it back down the street.

Character Headcannon Highlights -Chuuya is used to seeing strange people in and out of work, but seeing Akutagawa have a one-sided argument about chilvery and whatnot is mildly disturbing, even for him. -Gin, on one hand, doesn't like seeing her brother stressed out and not being able to do anything about it, but on the other hand, whenever Knight wins over Akutagawa to spend more time with her, she can't help but feel slightly thankful to him. -Atsushi is conflicted. Knight is a strong reminder of Akutagawa's amnesia and why he's alive right now. He appreciates Roshomon's decreased stabbing attempts, but can't help but feel a rush of remorse for not being able to prevent Akutgawa's death. -Dazai's finding everything amusing. Every time he catches Akutagawa fighting with Knight, he will always say to listen to Knight. The look of physical pain Akutagawa gives is almost pitiful. Almost.

my favourite thing about bllk is that everyone is clinical and then there's just kurona. he's done nothing wrong. he's just here to vibe, be cute, say weird catchphrases like a side character in a mid-rate kid's show and play football. i genuinely do not think we've ever seen him angry. meanwhile kaiser is knee-deep in his 52nd mental breakdown, hiori is going by "ultrasadist" on main, ness is a bad day away from a homicide charge and isagi has ruined nearly as many men as ones he's made fall in love with him.

Can we put Nagireo aside for a bit?

I'm gonna be honest, this is just me ranting about Blue Lock because I'm bitter about characters being left in the dust. I'm probably not the first one to do this, nor will I be the last, but if ya wanna read and talk about it, I'm open to discussion. This isn't a Nagireo hate post, I could never. This is just me wanting to see more characters in the spotlight for more than 5 chapters, ya'know? (Note: When referring to Nagireo, I mean it both as their individual characters and in a relationship/shipping sense) Anyways, enjoy my rambling~~! ٩(•̤̀ᵕ•̤́๑) Spoilers for the Blue Lock Manga!!!

I think the one complaint that I have about Blue Lock is that it leaves a lot of character back story questions unanswered for way too long. Like, yes, I don't mind having a character's back story being a mystery and up to interpretation for the audience to analyze and pick at. It can be fun in some cases! But not when it takes around 200+ chapters just to get one of the biggest character backstories (in my opinion) possibly answered. And more often than not, when it comes to side characters, other than a couple of exceptions, Nagireo gets the most spotlight in development. They are the ones who, since they first got introduced, got some sort of developed in every arc. And I love to see it, but not when it leaves other characters that have the potential to shine in the dark. Like Kiyora or Raichi. The repetitive scenes of Kiyora about to go on the field were killing me. And if I had a quarter for every time Raichi got the "I'll show you what I can do" scene followed by nothing from him smh. Listen, I love NagiReo. More so now that I've finally been able to properly understand their relationship as both friends and in a hypothetical romantic sense...but it has been, I don't know how many chapters, since we first learned about Sae and Rin's strained relationship after Sae went abroad, and we're just now getting more info??? After 300 chapters??? REALLY??? Do you know how many times I begged to learn more about Sae's back story, and what made him give up on being a striker? I legitimately forgot I wanted this whole thing to get explored up until Bunny's reveal! And don't even get me started on Kunigami. We still don't know WTF happened in the Wildcard room that was able to break him!!! We haven't gotten a hint of exploration into his Wildcard self since the Team Z reunion chapter. Seriously, WHAT THE F*CK HAPPENED IN THE WILDCARD ROOM??!?!?!? But! To be fair, I haven't read any of the character novels, nor do I know if there's any info within the Character Bible. Maybe there is info, and I've just skipped/missed it. Then again, it shouldn't take this long for us to finally get at least one of my many questions out of the way. TBH, this would've been a shipping rant buttt my love for character exploration/development won out. Maybe I'll make another post about the Blue Lock ships? Later me problem tho~ Never thought I'd make a post like this, but none of my friends read/watch Blue Lock, so here I am! Thank you to those who read all this, and again, please let me know if anything was answered and I just missed it somehow. I'd hate to be left in the dark for any of this.

Manifesting this into the Windbreaker Manga

I am begging on my hands and knees that we not only get a Tsugeura arc soon, but also a Tsugeura and Suo arc. Spoilers ahead for non-manga readers!!!!

So, like, if anyone has been paying attention to the summer mini-arcs currently going on in the manga with the first years, you'll notice that Nii-sensei has been pairing them up with fellow first years they aren't normally associated too. And we've done every first year EXCEPT Tsugeura and Suo. Thus! I am hoping and praying for a Tsugeura and Suo arc together!!!!! I mean imagine the possibilities. Tsugeura wears his heart on his sleeve. He's open and honest about what he likes and virtues and encourages others to do the same. He volunteered himself to share a fear during the end of the Keel arc. Pair him up with Suo who is the most mysterious character in the series. Who constantly avoids sharing information about himself at every given opportunity. Who attempted to gaslight Nirei into getting him to shut up about his dislike of natto. I'm just saying this could be peak. Also, as a plea to Nii-sensei, too PRETTY PLEASE GIVE TSUGERA MORE SCREEN TIME HE IS THE MOST UNLOVED CHARACTER OUT OF THE FIRST YEARS PLEASE NII-SENSEI I'M BEGGING!!!!! .·°՞(っ-ᯅ-ς)՞°·.

Kunigiri Delinquent AU

I have fanfic ideas but I suck at writing so I’ll just place them here in the hopes someone gets inspired and uses them (If you do let a girl know!!!) And because of the rapid depletion of Kunigiri fics, for me to read, I give you~ Kunigiri delinquent school/reformatory school AU!! This won't be that shippy (honestly, it's more like a retelling in a delinquent AU), but I plan on making more of these down the line, so stay tuned for that! For the setting, think of the Nagireo fanfic teenage dirtbag, read it if you haven't, especially if you like possessive Nagi. Enough about them lets get started!! (Sorry in advance for how long this is.)

So Kunigami and Chigiri met at Blue Lock Reform School

Kunigami was sent to BL cause of his uncontrolled anger issues. He’s gotten better as he grew up, but still not quite to the level where he can truly call himself a hero like he wants to be.

Chigiri had a reputation for being a “pretty bad boy” and looked beautiful, but could bite, especially because he was faster than the average teenager. Of course, this doesn’t last long until he gets jumped by a group of kids and gets his leg messed up. Thus, with no proper way to fight back, getting his social status crushed, being the main topic of others' jeers (especially from the Wamina brothers), and his last fight being so bad that he gets in trouble with the law, he’s sent to BL after the summer in the hospital recovering from his injury

They didn’t click at first since they were focusing on their survival. Kunigami would actively defend the weaker members of his class, while Chigiri kept to himself (If Chigiri knowing talks more shit about people when Kunigami is around that’s no’s business but his own)

Skipping along, Chigiri and Kunigami get along pretty well once Chigiri gets over his angst arc. Chigiri likes that Kuni is respectful to him, not because of his looks but because of who he is as a person, sass, and all. Kunigami likes how honest Chigiri is, if he sees bullshit he’ll say so point-blank-period

If they ever got caught in a fight together, Kunigami would go first with the heavy hitters up front while Chi watches his back with his speed and quick thinking. Kuni won’t go too far, just enough to make them stay down while Chi takes care of the ones that won’t quit unless they're knocked out

They work well together and get along with each other, life's great until it isn’t

One day, Chigiri overhears someone talking about how Kunigami got into a really bad fight with one of the newer transfers, Shidou Ryusei, and lost. Bad. So bad that he had to be sent to the hospital for surgery. He tries to leave campus with some of their friends (Isagi and Bachira to note) but is quickly stopped once they see security around BL heighten after that night

That doesn’t stop Chigiri from trying other methods with the others, but that turns out to be fruitless as well. For “safety reasons”, no one knows which hospital Kunigami was sent to; they got their electronics taken away at the beginning of the school year and can only get them back during breaks (which wouldn’t do much as he doesn’t even have his number or email to use). No one even attempts the death wish of breaking into Ego’s (their principles) office. They know better than that

So after all that, Chigiri resigns himself to wait for Kunigami’s return. Which he will. He has too! It was just one bad fight, and Kuni was the victim, so theirs no way he won’t return. He and all their friends will wait for him to come back

It takes the rest of the semester for him to return. At the start of the new semester, Kunigami comes back but has changed

He doesn’t greet anyone, he doesn’t smile, and if anyone approaches him, he tells them to piss off. If someone picks a fight with Kunigami now, he won’t even give them a chance, just a strong and fast swing, and they're down. His friends try to talk to him, they do, but he just won’t put down the walls he put up.

But Chigiri watches. He watches and notices something. He notices that Kunigami looks tired, even though he’s still one of the first to go back to his dorm. He noticed that Kunigami still has a healthy diet and works out regularly (a little too often in his opinion). He definitely notices when Kunigami calls out people if they’re about to do something stupid, especially if it would get them hurt. He watches and notes, then finally comes to a conclusion

Time for the fun part

Kunigami is walking back to the dorm when he spots Chigiri dash towards him from a distance and tries to roundhouse kick him. He grabs Chigiri and demands to know what the hell he thinks he’s doing

Chigiri, in all seriousness, looks straight into Kunigami's eyes and says that he’s “Trying to knock some sense into him, literally.”

You see, Chigiri himself has concluded that whatever happened between the fight with Shidou and now broke something in Kunigami, especially his heroic side. And as much as he doesn’t buy this edgy act (in fact, he thinks it’s stupid, but let's not get into that), Kunigami doesn’t need any more stress

What he needs his patience

This attack was just to let out his frustration with Kuni ignoring Chi for the last couple of days

Kunigami tells him to wake up from his dream of saving that hero; he’s dead, and Chigiri agrees that maybe it's true that he changed, but so has he. Chigiri promises there won’t be any more attacks from him like the one from today; instead, he’s just gonna keep an eye on him and says that  he should keep an eye on Chigiri too

What he doesn’t say is that as much as he changed, Kunigami is still fundamentally himself. He still cares, it’s just not as obvious as before. Chigiri hopes that with some meddling from him, maybe some parts of the old Kunigami will be resurrected

Thus starts the beginning of Kunigiri's new relationship. Chi always tries to include Kunigami whenever he’s around, even when he acts like he doesn’t hear him. Avoiding Chi is nearly impossible because of Kunis's easy-to-understand routine. Some days are just spent in silence with each other, while others have Chigiri getting physically closer to Kunigami (never pushing boundaries too far, though). If they are caught in a fight together, Chigiri will still watch Kuni’s back. And if Kunigami starts throwing guys into ones that try and sneak up on Chigiri? It’s a coincidence. It's not like before, but it's not that different either.
