Many businesses have began to discover a big issue in the marketing plans, and thats how to reach millennials. As technology increases and time goes by, it is important for businesses to know how to stay “in the loop” with new technology and trends. A huge question that many businesses have is how can we reach millennials? How can we learn the current trends? How can we target the millennials desires while not seeming outdated? This article is very helpful by allowing us to understand and grasp the concept of things changing as time goes by. As we grow older, or techniques may get outdated, so it's important to always be able to reach the newer generation. Millennials are actually to largest generation in comparison to others so it's important to stay up to date. 

Something to remember is that millennials are defined by a fragmented culture. This means that experiences for millennials are based on touch points like current music, art, television shows, social media,and trends in clothing. In previous posts, I have mentioned that I am in a current social media kick. Scrolling through social media platforms has me wondering how I can be unique and “play” the system. My question today is how can I grow my business on social media? I had a few assumptions like creating a page, posting, and some tricks I learned from the previous articles I posted about. I decided to do some research so I can be smart about social media and use to towards a personal/business gain. I found an article called “how to promote your business with instagram”, and the article shares some excellent ideas.

After reading the article, I have learned some great ideas as well as refreshed my memory on some tips that I’ve known from the past. The article shares that using hashtags will actually boost your post by associating itself with topics users have searched for in the past. The article also shares that building trust and really connecting with every follower is a great way to build and promote your business. If you gain your followers trust, provide useful content, and have them reply to the posts, there will be a greater chance they will do some word of mouth marketing. This means that your followers might share posts with friends or family. The last tip the article shared about promoting your business is posting regularly with hashtags. Posting regularly will help ensure your followers see your posts, and will help abuse the instagram server’s algorithm. Posting regularly will also help show your followers that you are passionate, motivated, and active in your business.

According to my last post, I have been on a big social media kick. I have been overly curious on how to use marketing skills on social media, and how to gain users to follow and pay attention to a specific page. I decided to go more in-depth in how to market on social media. My question is now focused on how can I grab the users attention? Not just grab their attention, but I want to learn how to get these users to drop what they are doing, give responses, and like my post. I stumbled across a pretty educational article on “how to create instagram stories”. I already knew how to create an instagram story, but this article has taught me that there are so many benefits by using this as a marketing tool.

According to the article, posting stories on instagram will not only help with your pages engagement but also helps with statistics. An instagram story has specific settings that can allow you to choose the target audience of who can view your story (especially if it pertains to their interests). Not only that, but you can even ask questions that can be responded with short answers or true and false options. This is a very useful tool for marketing as it gives a sense of what your followers are interested in. The article also shares tips like viewing analytics, as well as editing portions of the story to help pertain to the viewer. Instagram stories are a great invention and addition to the social media platform. Posting stories often is a very good suggestion as it shares that you are very active on social media. Great read!

As we are in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and quarantine, I had a lot of time to think about social media. I have been an active user of social media lately and I became curious on a few things. As I was scrolling on my favorite app, Instagram, I began to question how can I gain, attract, and interest the social media users towards our pages? I ran into this article called “5 Ways to Improve Your Social Media Results”, and it really gave me some useful information. 

As I read this article, I learned a lot on how I can use my marketing skills through social media. Everything on this article actually points towards learning to to psychologically get into your viewers heads. The first way to improve social media results is by telling a story on your post rather than making a bland statistic or post with little content. This will allow the viewer to spend more time on the post, and even trigger some of the viewer’s emotions.

Another way is to attract users by expressing how people can benefit from a specific topic. Plenty of people in today’s society are interested in personal growth, and attracting their attention by offering how to improve is the key to gaining followers. 

The third way to build your audience on social media is by reviewing and telling stories from experiences. If you were to write a review on a product or service, others may get a sense of trust in the product or service and really begin to think. Getting the social media users to think and gain trust is a really great way to build an audience. Gaining the users trust will not only attract them to your page, but they will be thinking about your post all day. 

The fourth way to gain followers on social media is by mentioning influencers to your post. Adding a person that is trendy, popular, and someone they trust is a very great way to gain attention, and even apply more likes towards your post. 

The final way the article shared about how to interest social media users is by creating a demand to an already scarce product. If you were to talk about something in a really positive way, your followers will get the hint that you value that product. Not only will they know how important the product is, but they will begin to think about it, and want it for their own.
