BIOGRAPHY,

Jackson was born on a peaceful, april morning in 1989, to parents Lisa & Richard Birrd, his parents were in their early twenties and he, was what his mom would have said, a happy accident. He had a relatively normal childhood, he was always smiling even as a baby, his mother told him he was rarely fussy and an overall joy. when Jackson was 13, his mother had got into a fatal car accident, going to pick him up from hockey practice, due to the roads being icy during a snowstorm. He blamed himself for what had happened, saying if he wasn’t at hockey practice, his mom wouldn’t have driven through that. He wasn’t the only one that blamed himself, his father constantly reminded him if it wasn’t for Jackson she would still be living.

He constantly witnessed his father get into the habit of going out to the bar every night, coming back almost wasted, after his mothers death he barely saw his father sober. One night, before going out drinking, his father dropped him off at his aunts house, but he never came back for him, he had to accept that his new home was with his aunt and cousins. Jackson got bullied constantly through highschool, after word had got out about his mothers death and his father abandoning him, this resulted in him only having one or two friends, who weren’t exactly the best influences on him. They got him into trouble, and introduced him to a world of drugs, he got into bad habits and seemed to turn out like his dad, never sober, which is the last thing he wanted.

He ended up getting into his first serious relationship near the end of highschool, she wanted Jackson to change for the better, so he could go off to college and find a real job, because she knew that’s what he wanted, but it was hard for him to sober up, she was there with him for everything, which something he wasn’t used to, having someone care so much for him, so he started distancing himself and pushing her away, not wanting to be abandoned by someone he cared for again, and for that reason it ended. He realized what she was doing was for the best, and he made a bold decision to check himself into rehab.

Not long after he got out, he started working at a local cafe, while still living at his aunts house, trying to rack up some money, to leave New Jersey and start a new life for himself. He saved up enough to buy himself a car and his aunt pitched in to help him with his first and last rent for wherever he was going, he drove himself down to Boot Hill and found a nice apartment complex, where he was sure was the perfect fit for him.

He’s been living in Boot hill for about a year and a half now, he quickly found a job as a barista at the schoolhouse cafe, he’s been enjoying his time there thus far, and has achieved what he left Newark for, a new life, a new start, and he feels like he might not ever leave, even if he had the choice.
