My entry video into the fascinating world of dashcam footage. No crashes or accidents caught this month. Just a collection of rule-breaking drivers on the streets of Mississauga and Oakville captured on a dashcam in January 2020.

I am calling it - October 14, 2019, is the official start of Winter in southern Ontario. Here’s why:
A frost advisory warning of temperatures dropping below zero tonight. That means I spent the day prepping for winter, which included clearing the outdoor pipes of water and putting away the kids' bikes. A busy Thanksgiving day as I worked outside and inside to get the family ready for the new work/school week.

So it has finally happened. Almost 3 years ago, I bought a phone which I absolutely loved: the OnePlus3T. Not only was it going strong with no significant battery issues, but it was running Android 9. Android users are all well aware of how you can count your self lucky to have one major Android upgrade during the life of your phone, yet I went through 3 (from Android 6 to 9)!
Unfortunately, my phone met its end yesterday when I dropped it for what was to be the last time. The ink blob on the top left started off quite small and started growing and growing until it covered the whole screen. That, my friends, is the LC in LCD (LIQUID CRYSTAL Display). With it being Thanksgiving weekend, I was totally screwed. No time to order a new OnePlus and in dire need of a phone.
Thankfully my cell phone provider, Bell Canada, was open on Sunday, so I was able to swing by today to pick up a new phone. Unfortunately, they do not stock the reliable OnePlus brand, so I had to choose another brand. This time I’m giving the Google Pixel a try.
In any case, this is a good-bye post to a trusty technology partner (after my previous horrible smartphone experiences – I’m looking at you Samsung and Apple + I’ve previously documented my past experiences with smartphones in a previous post). You helped me navigate the traffic-filled roads of Dubai. You were the endless entertainment for the kids and me during long car rides (I’m talking to you 10-hour drive to Montreal). You were the “you’re going to freeze your butt off” morning alerts on those cold Canadian mornings.
OnePlus3T, you will be missed 🤣

Reigniting the Blog Bug
It's been over 2yrs since I last blogged & I forgot how much I love it! Blogging is not dead. It’s not one of those in-depth, thought-provoking posts, just a little fun after a long absence
