Rewatched Rogue One and, for the record, Diego Luna did not deliver the line “Jyn…NO!” with Shakespearean-level romantic melodrama for any series or showrunner to convincingly argue that he was thinking about another woman the whole time. This is a dude who has fully and completely moved on from the ex who dumped him.

Friendly reminder that the Rogue One writers easily could’ve actually killed Cassian with that fall in the data tower and ended the film with Jyn defeating Krennic and transmitting the plans alone just as the Death Star obliterates her. Instead they wrote it so that Cassian climbs up 10+ stories with a broken back to save Jyn from her mother’s murderer and they have a whole moment in the elevator as the last survivors of the Rogue One team (probably the last two people alive in the facility) and then die together in each other’s arms on the beach; in other words, they wrote the most romantic possible ending for them. Absolutely nothing Mr. Gilroy says post-Andor will ever change or undo any of this.

Only a few episodes into The Musketeers after having wanted to watch it for ages, and wow what a bunch of colorful dumbasses (affectionate). Aramis seems to always give either zero fucks or every single fuck with no in-between. The way he protects himself with his hat while d'Artagnan gets absolutely sprayed... I love these goobers.

More than any other adaptation BBC Musketeers captured the pain in the love attached to betrayal with Milathos. Here is the person who sees you and loves you at your best, who made you want the best for them and for you and everything for just a while, was golden.
Here is the person who can twist the knife best and already did and the poetry and the pain tied up in forget-me-nots and ‘I’m glad you came back’ and grey, but morally grey and sometimes they’re still the person you loved best but then they move and they’re someone else entirely it seems and the whole thing could have just been a trick of the (golden) light
