I wrote this four weeks ago. And literally NO ONE interacted with it in any way shape or form. I guess I've proved my own point right?!

I used to repost and interact on posts pretty much every day. It's now been TWO MONTHS since I regularly updated this blog. The irony that I've apparently gained several "followers" over this period is not lost on me.

So my New Year's resolution for 2025 is to never again be so stupid as to think that this website cultivates caring friendships. As someone who struggles a lot with making friends and connecting with people I literally saw this blog as my lifeline and my only way to interact with like-minded people. Now I don't see the point in anything anymore.

So Happy New Year everyone. I would say I'd see you on the other side but I wouldn't bet on it.

The cruelest thing about Tumblr is the way that having followers and mutuals makes you think that you have unseen friends who share your interests and care about you...and then you realise that it's all bullshit.
