Hallway of Blurred Reflections. Captured with an iPhone7. Near metro Place des Arts, Montréal. {When I walk down this hallway, I always have this mystical feeling of being transported somewhere else. My spiraled thoughts stop and, momentarily, I feel refreshed and light. Maybe it’s the lighting, maybe it’s the wind currents or the mesmerizing echoes of footsteps, but the hallway feels special for me. Walking down this hallway wakes the child in me; everything becomes more focused, my curiosity is rekindled and compassion comes more naturally. At that moment, childhood memories replay in loop inside of my head and a sense of melancholy fills my entire being. I sigh and look ahead. Crisscrossed Sky. [I find the absurd, poetic; the strange, beautiful.] I have taken this picture with my iPhone 7 and have used a filter on it. I like taking picture of things that we come across in our daily life, but presenting it in a new angle. A barren tree can be found anywhere during winter. However, not many will take the time to appreciate its remarkable beauty that we have taken for granted. So, I hope that I managed to share my feeling of awe and wonder with you through this picture. Often, during the winter, I think of spring. Winter is my reality and spring, only a product of my imagination. Spring does not have its place in the world that I live in. Still, I dream of it and I patiently wait for it. Suddenly, spring arrived… No more snow, no more cold, no more reality. More than feeling happy, I am confused, afraid of pinching my own arm because I still believe it to be a dream. I am afraid of losing Spring. Afraid that it is simply a picture, a painting on a random wall. Afraid of waking up… Even though spring may have arrived, I am afraid of living it.
