How East Haven Bail Bonds Changed Over the Years
For beginners I must say I’ve dealt with a bail bondsman or bail bonds service plenty while growing up in East Haven. My friends and the friends of my friends, my uncle and myself at some point. All bail bondsmen are great as long as you have the money to post bail. No money no love. It’s really that simple or at least I thought.
In East Haven twenty years ago you didn’t need much to post bail, you needed some money and a signature. Going to court wasn’t really questioned it. People would go to court. It’s how bail bonds worked. The bondsman bailed you out and you had to appear in court. Done.
Today people or people who often get in trouble with the law, have acquired a new habit for a lack of better words, they don’t think it’s important to attend court hearings. Some may not do it on purpose but they miss court more often these days. This makes bail harder. Bail bondsmen have to evaluate a little deeper when bailing someone out of jail in East Haven, for example.
They may require more than one signature if you missed court, or some collateral if you are a visitor in Connecticut. It all depends. However, what I’ve learned is that this bail company 3-D Bail Bonds in New haven does the best payment plans and they do bail bonds for people who miss court. You wonder why? I asked this question myself. here is what I was told: “we make it possible - because that’s why we are here for, to make bail possible and affordable for all”. “Everyone deserves a second chance as long as they are honest.” Drew the bondsman continues saying: “don’t get me wrong we have given chances and yet these folks didn’t show up to court, which is unfortunate because then bail enforcement needs to get involved.”
In conclusion, if you need help with East Haven bail bonds contact a local bail company. Consequently, once you are out on bail attend all court hearings, that’s what you were supposed to do twenty years ago and that’s what you are supposed to do today still in 2019.

BAIL HEARING
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A Bail Hearing is for individuals who have been arrested and accused of a crime. When a person has been accused of a crime and is detained, the police have 72 hours to present their case to a judge and formally charge the person with the crime, or they must release that person. If they have evidence to proceed with charges, they can book an accused person into jail, where the accused will wait for arraignment. Arraignment is the first step in their case, where they plead guilty, not guilty, or begin the process of pleading not guilty by reason of insanity. If the plea will result in a trial, the judge must make a decision about where the defendant lives while their trial is taking place. Bail is money or property that is pledged towards the court on behalf of the accused through their own resources, their family members, or a bail bondsman in exchange for their release while their trial is in process instead of being locked up in jail. Bail is intended as a measure to ensure that the accused will appear in court after they are released from custody. The amount of bail that a prosecutor can request depends on the crime they are charging a person with. That amount can be paid in cash, or it can be pledged in the form of resources such as property, houses or cars. If the court accepts these items as bail, and the accused becomes a fugitive, the court seizes the property. If the defendant appears in court and obeys the terms and conditions of their bail agreement, the person who posted bail will get their money back when the person is found not guilty or charges are dismissed. In some states, bail money is returned even if the defendant is found guilty, as long as they abided by the terms of bail.  If the accused cannot pay the bail amount, or their families cannot, they remain in jail custody until they are convicted, plead guilty or are released. If the case is very serious, the judge may hold the accused without bail, and the accused will remain in jail custody during their trial

I found a New London bail bondsman in 2019
I was just getting ready to head out this 4th of July when a knock on the door stopped my plans. Anyone wanna  take  a guess?
Yup
COPS #NewLondonCops
Kidding you not!
Apparently I had a warrant for not showing up to my last meeting with my PO or something like that. The details of the warrant aren’t as important as all the things I could have done to avoid it.
Here I am sitting in the back of a police car which by the way is very uncomfortable. I knew my bond was only $1000 yet I didn’t have it.
As I was processed and booked at the New London Police Department saw some other folks there in jail. That scared me. Yep you are in the same cell if is a busy day, lucky me!
Here I go after an hour and half of thinking what can I do, someone said call a bondsman. call a 3-D bondsman they are in New London. Apparently that was the 3rd time this pal sitting next to me said it. I was in shock, wasn’t hearing a word.
So I got the number and made the call and boy was that the best thing that happen to me that morning. This Jordan kid sounded like he knew everything I didn’t know. He talked to me in simple words and said I needed $100 and a signer. So my next task was to think about that phone number of a friend since i have no parents around. Boy was that hard. I gave them 10 possible combinations and they found my friend whose name will keep as “bella” since I don’t have her permission to share her name.
After The cops verified I had 100 bucks on me I heard you are all set. We should get you out shortly. Those words were music to me ears. Then I heard my name met the New London bondsman and signed some papers got some load of copies and receipts and the words that stick to me head were: Go to court, don’t mess with the court, I don’t want to send bail enforcement for you”.
Thank you to my friends, the New London bondsman, the officers who were nice and this wall where I can go blah blah about my experience and to say that indeed #jailsucks even for a few hours jail sucked.
