Huh, interesting.

... I really should get around to playing this at some point, the only Pokémon fan game I've really played any significant amount of is Super Mariomon...

Most of my artwork takes... significantly longer than an hour. This may be partially because I insist upon vector graphics, but I'm pretty sure even the sketch usually takes close to an hour...

Anyway I think it looks good. Pretty cool.

A concept for a Drowzee x Latios custom sprite because I keep coming across them in my randomized playthrough and I feel bad for them.

I made this in like an hour, so my apologies if it isn't very good.

If I were to rank these from most godlike to least... I think it would be The Guardian (black and white cat), Chip (little maroon fairy chihuahua thing), Mew (pink cat), and finally King (little bone boy).

Maybe reverse the last two, I'm not quite sure...

King's situation is relatively simple: his species are long-lived and incredibly powerful, but the show is not remotely subtle about their mortality (why is there a child murder shrine) and treats viewing them as gods as wrong.

Really, Mew is the more ambiguous one... Based on its Pokédex entries, it's not a god. Sometimes it's treated as a god in other official media, but not always.

... Both definitely still got the powerful little guys thing going though.

Yeah so I passed 6,000 words and am just now getting to the Delia part, this is 100% longer than my last oneshot.

Well i guess the current au oneshot i have is now at over 5,000 words and still a WIP. It's the one mentioned in the Pikachu Ash post.

This is looking likely to be even longer than Not One To Talk, Pikachu? and I have other ideas for this AU too. We'll see if those go anywhere. Still not doing a continuous narrative though.

I will go over the basic premise again here: Ash is raised in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon world (referred to as just the Pokémon world in the AU), which in this AU is where Pikachu is originally from, as Pikachu's older brother. Ash, however, is still human, and turned up in the Pokémon world at the age of three in the form of a shiny Mew with no memories except his name. He and Pikachu set out on an adventure, only to be interrupted by meeting Hoopa, who very quickly realizes that Ash isn't supposed to be there and sends him back to the human world, with Pikachu managing to follow.

There's a bit more going on than that, especially if I do decide to return to it later, but that's the basic idea at the start.

as a person who uses either public bathroom on a toss of a coin i gottta say its kind of ridicuous that people are so attached to them being seperate facilities. youre not usually gonna see anyones dick at the urinal and youre not usually gonna be able to spy on any women. the stalls are the same except one has a little tampon bin. we would lose nothing if all bathrooms were unisex and i'll die on that hill.

actually, i love that the pokemon anime has shown time and time again that some pokemon loke ash's pikachu, bulbasaur, and rowlet and dawn's piplup dont want to evolve and i love that their choices are treated with respect and that they aren't forced into evolving because it teaches an important lesson, and i love that, in a show where evolution is sought after and expected and touted as making a pokemon stronger, some of the strongest pokemon in the show are shown to actively choose not to evolve. i dont know if this makes sense i just. ive always loved that.

Not to be nuanced on tumblr but I think it’s possible to believe that there are severe human rights abuses happening in Palestine right now and also believe that it’s wrong to try and rectify this by instilling fear in Jewish communities via violence.

I know at least one other person has said it but STARCO.

Star and Marco's dynamic was so much more interesting as friends to the point where, yes, it was a genuine appeal of the show early on! It feels super-forced and the things making them romantic did to the story were... not. good.

And, like, no, I don't have something I prefer, I don't find romance interesting in the first place and tend to prefer platonic dynamics. But this was a particularly painful example.
