Game of Drag S1, E1 "Death by Drag" Review

Game of Drag is the second YouTube competition I’ve seen and I was nervous about watching it at first because I didn’t know if it would be as good as Drag Showdown but it’s so good I can’t even pick which is better. Stray observations from the intros: - Roachie is flawless. - Cece Jolie’s intro sounds dubbed over by Jade Jolie. - Rose reminded me that Turkey exists. - Luna Violet is also flawless. - Candice Cherry (Cumslut Candice/Candle) is literally the cutest and I love her wig in her intro. - Ivory like the soap? I love all of the judges. Crypta Night (…woods) is a sweetheart, Marina Daydream is wearing a gorgeous blue dress and a gorgeous wig & super funny, Skatlett Vain’s lipstick is so pretty it’s almost blinding. The host Lydia Kollins is flawless and a goddess sent from heaven. The challenge was death by drag; Shezzy - Boot Cece - Toot, but it doesn’t read death McKayla - Toot Calliope - Toot (LABORCOMPLICATIONREALNESSSSS I DIED GIVING BIRTH💀 MY BABY DIED GIVING BIRTH 💀👶🏻AND THIS ALL HAPPENED A GOOD 50 YEARS AGO👈🏻. More stray observations: - Candice seems like the type who can easily make something out of nothing and that’s the best trait to have as a queen so watch out for her. - All of the queens showed effort so picking a bottom two is hard. - Roachie, Luna, Candice, & Rose are my favorites of the episode look wise & interview wise. The bottom 2 didn’t surprise me at all & Ivory went home which, no tea no shade, didn’t surprise me. 1 Bitch down, 12 to go 😝😝

Drag Showdown S1/E7 Review: "Winner, Winner, Drag Race Dinner" Review

This episode ruined my life so here’s my review

Danger’s first video started off lighthearted and funny with the Valentine’s Day joke but got sad when he mentioned how his family would not speak to him if they found about doing drag and I have the same situation so I see where you’re coming from girl. It hurts my heart.

The challenge was recreating drag race winner looks and Danger - {Jinkx Monsoon} Toot Twink - {Violet Chachki} Toot Obscura - {Bianca Del Rio} Toot Porcelain - {Sharon Needles} Toot Salem - {Raja} Toot

A more in depth review of the looks:

Dangers recreation was literally everything (it was ballsy doing a look that got the queen in the bottom but it was pulled off very nicely) it looks exactly like Jinkx’s costume and it was an amazing job (hope u don’t get ants)

Twink’s is my personal favorite because Violets look is one of my favorite looks ever and she nailed it.

Obscura’s makeup and hair is SO ON POINT and so is the outfit but this look is so Bianca you could literally do a side by side and not be able to tell the difference. A Well deserved win for Obscura

Porcelains Sharon looks were AMAZING. They’re both so iconic and easily recognizable and amazing.

Salem’s look was so amazing and one of Raja’s iconic looks. I don’t care if you hit the mark for Krystal but you hit the mark in my heart.

So Obscura wins and there’s no argument to that she was amazing. Twink is high and Danger is safe which is understandable.

Porcelain and Salem are the bottom two and I didn’t want to see this lip sync because the last one was rough enough I could barely get through it because of TEARS.

I was getting my life from this lip sync because Salem was hitting every beat and Porcelain delivered an emotional performance and I was almost screaming YAS in my head then a sinking feeling was in my stomach because I knew one of them was getting eliminated.

I know I’m not the only one feeling like this because of Krystal’s face afterwards and making the decision. She decides to save Salem, which doesn’t surprise me because she knew every word of the song and was just a nudge better, and eliminate Porcelain. This broke whatever heart I had left after last episode and it doesn’t seem real that she’s going home. Porcelain is definitely going to get fan favorite(either her or Delilah). I’m just so heartbroken over this, but I understand the decision.

Drag Showdown S1/E6: "Riot Grrrls" Review

I've been super busy and late on my reviews but here we goooo So starting off, we're coming off a double win for Porcelain and Twink Trash which is great & Sirene was eliminated. The interviews with the queens gets very sad when Porcelain begins to talk about her hedgehog passing away (RIP SCOOTER😭) & it made me tear up real bad. It seems as if Danger doesn't agree with Twink also winning the challenge so when I learned that she & Twink were on the same team for the episode I was slightly worried however they SLAYED IT. Danger started it off and goddamn I can't think of a more punk rock person in the competition than him. She says "were gonna snatch your wigs" & that wasn't a lie. Twink Trash, aka the Purity, absolutely fucking slayed the challenge. She definitely prepared me for the Twink apocalypse. After I heard her verse I was blown away honestly. "Too busy beating all you bitches from behind" is the best lyric from the entire episode. And it's also a fact. Love your hair girl hope you win. Obscura definitely snatched the song at the end, and puts herself in the bitchy role everyone claimed she was and it honestly fits very well. Her outfit was also perfection like holy shit. Porcelain, Delilah, and Salems group is up next Porcelain, I liked your lyrics a lot and I could tell you were having a hard time because of Scooter but you still pulled it off. Your singing was unique because it was more of a whisper and I think it fits honestly. The zoo we mama line was perfect. Salem, your lyrics were also great and I could tell there was a lot of effort into this. You looked beautiful and I think you did a good job. Delilah, IM SO SAD YOU COULDNT SUBMIT A PART LIKE OH MY FUCKING GOD THE DELILAH DOMINO SONG WAS EVERYTHING AND MORE AND IT MADE ME VERY SAD. Hopefully everyone sees you as amazing as I see you mama So, because Delilah couldn't submit a verse she was eliminated and my heart was broken. Drag Showdown: S1/E5 "Foil Frenzy" Review

So the episode has been out for 2 hours please someone get me a different hobby. My friend Andrea is helping me out this week too. Last episode we said a sad goodbye to Ruby and Danger finally won. This episode, Sirene, Delilah, Porcelain, and Salem are all feeling kind of defeated. I want them all to do good because they're all amazing and I take inspiration from all of them. So the mini challenge were making nails aaaaaanddddd Danger: (Me: Toot) (Andrea: Toot) Twink: (Me: Toot) (Andrea: Toot) Obscura: (Me: Toot) (Andrea: Toot) Porcelain: (Me: Toot) (Andrea: Toot) Salem: (Me: Toot) (Andrea: Boot) Delilah: N/A Sirene: N/A The main challenge was to make outfits out of tin foil and some were better than others. Danger: (Me: Toot) (Andrea: Toot) Twink: (Me: Toot) (Andrea: Toot) Obscura: (Me: Boot) (Andrea: Toot) Porcelain: (Me: Shoot) (Andrea: Shoot) Salem: (Me: Toot) (Andrea: Toot) Delilah: (Me: Toot) (Andrea: Boot) Sirene: (Me: Boot) (Andrea: Boot) So Twink & Porcelain both won the challenge, deservingly, and Sirene and Delilah ended up in the bottom 2. Sirene decided not to lip sync and it pissed Krystal off and she just eliminated her. My opinion on the situation is, if you don't know where you are or want to be in drag, auditioning for a video competition isn't a good idea. I like Sirene a lot but the competition isn't for her. 6 bitches down, 5 until we get a winner. Drag Showdown S1/E4: Snatched Game Review

SO episode 4 has been out for maybe an hour and I have no life so yes I’ve already watched it.

First off, I’m so fucking shook that Sirene is back. Not mad about it, but I really thought it was gonna be Kat not gonna lie. But congrats Sirene! Second, this challenge was snatch game and at this point Danger is gunning for a win after teetering in the top 3 weeks in a row. Porcelain also needs to pull out a win because she’s been good every week but not quite good enough to be in the top. Salem has been flatlining since her win so it’s time for her to step it up. Obscura is winning me over as the competition goes by and she is really loveable and kind, im glad she toned down her bitch side. Here’s how I’m scoring the snatch game performances: Danger: Funny Delilah: Funny Salem: Funny Obscura: Kind of Funny Twink: Kind of Funny Sirene: Not Funny Porcelain: Not Funny Now outfit wise: Danger: Toot Delilah: Toot Salem: Toot Obscura: Toot Twink: Toot Sirene: Toot Porcelain: Toot They all did great with runways. And I’ll delve more into the performances. Danger grabbed this challenge (by the pussy) and ran to victory with it. Delilah was very funny and her Meghan Trainor was spot on. Salem was hilarious and didn’t deserve to be in the bottom 3, her Selena had me laugh out loud several times. Obscura was funny but I didn’t really know her character so that’s why I don’t have much to say. Same with Twink. Sirene’s Paris characteristics were there but the jokes weren’t too funny, she made up in the runway department. And Porcelain had the Melanie look down, but she’s not really funny, Porcelain could’ve picked a funnier person. So Danger won FINALLY and it was well deserved. Delilah should’ve scored high in my opinion. Her, Twink, and Obscura are safe. Sirene, Salem, and Porcelain are the bottom 3 but then Ruby comes in on video explaining that she’s quitting the competition due to negativity and I want her to speak further at the reunion about it. We’re on Episode 5 now and down to 7 bitches. I’m predicting that Danger is going to keep slaying and hopefully the bottom 3 queens don’t let this defeat make them feel defeated next week. That’s all this week, I’ll post another one when episode 5 comes out 😆

Drag Showdown S1/E3: "Hoedown Showdown" Review

The episode starts out with Danger feeling confident about being in the top for the first two challenges and the rest of the queens talk about how they weren’t expecting Kat to go home. My poor bby Glass is feeling very defeated and feels like she doesn’t belong in the competition, and I’m hoping she can gain the confidence she needs and kills the next challenge. The queens call out Danger for wearing things over her face in the past two challenges to hide her makeup and honestly I didn’t even notice. She reassures us she won’t cover her face this week and will still be in the top, hope she proves herself right. Ruby seems kinda bitter when it comes to Obscura, but I kind of see the points she makes. Porcelain Polly feels defeated as well, and she shouldn’t be, she’s been doing pretty good. Obscura says she’s gonna be less bitchy because people are complaining about it, and I hope she does change because I really want to like her more.

Onto the challenge: These critiques are going to go by “Funny” “Kind of Funny” And “Not Funny” Because this is a comedic challenge about being in a county fair pageant. Salem, Glass, and Porcelain Polly are the bottom 3 and Salem is saved by the skin of her fingernails. Twink is the winner and I’m so happy because she finally won a challenge. The lip sync song is to “Lovefool” and I have rewatched this lip sync 5 times and each time, even though Porcelain Polly did good, I can’t take my eyes off of Glass. Surprisingly, Krystal eliminates them both and hopefully that sets a fire under everyone who has been coasting to step it up or else you’ll get eliminated, always be at the top of your game. I’m very upset and surprised to see Glass and Porcelain Polly go home but Krystal throws another surprise in and says she’s made a mistake. Maybe she didn’t cast someone because the cast was full, maybe she’s bringing back Kat, who knows? 2 more queens down, 7(?) remain. Review for episode 4 will come out when the episode comes out :)

Drag Showdown S1/E2: Bedroom Queens Review

This episode starts out with Obscura saying “Y'all better watch the fuck out, Obscura’s in the house” and tongue pops, followed by Kat saying “No” which sets up the tone of the episode, which includes a couple queens calling Obscura out on being bitchy. Porcelain Polly is confused on why she was in the bottom 3, which is understandable because Obscura’s outfit was less than fantastic. Delilah says that she’s back on her feet and ready to show us what she’s made of, and frankly I’m ready to see what she has to offer. Danger made me laugh yet again with his joke about Salem being a “plus size model”. Salem also throws some shade at Sirene saying “She’s young and i was gonna say talented but…. she’s young”. D E A D. The more the episode goes on, the less I like Obscura. She seemed nice and sweet but she is becoming more and more vocal about her negative opinions, like calling Sirene busted. As the episode goes forward, the rest of the queens are vocal about their opinions on Obscura. In the words of Ruby, “Calm the fuck down”.

Now onto the mini challenge: Twink Trash’s shady “DIY” was genius.

So Porcelain won, not mad about it, Salem was better though. Sorry bout ittttt. Love Porcelain though. During the confessionals, you can tell Glass is getting very defeated because she fears her look for the Dominatrix runway won’t be good enough, and i just want to pour a glass (get it) of water in her face and tell her to snap out of it. It sucks seeing such a fierce bitch feel so defeated. As the episode goes on, it seems as if there is a lot of pressure on Kat because it’s her aesthetic. Paris apparently cant continue on and I’m curious about that but oh well, let’s get to the runways.

Obscura steals the win and I’m not mad about it, she turned it out. Kat and Glass are in the bottom and I don’t know who to root for because I love them both. Glass turns it out and sends Kat home, which sucks because Kat is eliminated but I’m glad my girl Glass is staying!

Drag Showdown S1/E1: "Instagram Baddie" Review

Disclaimer: This is a review of the youtube teen drag queen competition hosted by Krystal Ball. I am doing these reviews for fun and out of boredom.

The first queen to be shown is Delilah Domino and she is showing off Laila McQueen realness. She is super cute and seems like she’s gonna be a fun time. The second queen that is introduced is named Sirene and no tea no shade, she looks a hot mess. I follow her on Instagram and she makes cute costumes, her makeup game just isn’t on par with others. And her entrance line “Holy Shit, Were Here” made me cringe so hard. It’s as if she thinks she’s on RuPaul’s Drag Race or something (Sorry gir still love you). The third one introduced is Ruby and she’s from the U.K. And I am living for her look, she is beat bitch. And she’s kind of cunty when she says “I’m the pretty one, but with a cast like this it’s not hard” I LIVE FOR IT. Next one is Porcelain Polly and she has literally the best catch phrase ever, “My Neck, My Back, This Porcelain Doesn’t Crack”. And she’s beat. Next up is Danger, and she is probably the most charismatic and funny one out of the bunch. She seems very polished and seems like she will be able to adapt to whatever is asked of her. Sirene steals another line from drag race and says she wants to be like Danger when she’s 45. *cringes*. Next up is Glass, and i fucking LIVE for this bitch. She’s a big girl with glasses, like me, and is super sweet and funny. Her aesthetic is something I appreciate. Kat Asstrophe is next up and I have known about her for a while, she’s from Scotland and pretty polished. She’s very down to earth and sweet. Next up is Obscura Peridot. Her entrance look is meh, and it seems like some of the girls don’t really like her, but she seems pretty cool. Next up is Porcelain and her entrance look gagged me. She seems polished and her makeup is on point. She’s a spooky gurl and I live. She doesn’t really talk to the camera in her interviews though. Next up is Salem. I like her, but her entrance line made me cringe because she said “hey fats”, I just don’t understand why people say that. Her makeup is good and she is definitely gonna be a fan favorite. Twink Trash, what a name, is next and she is definitely my favorite, I love her makeup and her personality, she’s definitely one to watch out for. I forgot to include Paris when I was watching but she also seems super cool.

In the end, Salem wins, rightfully so, and Sirene and Delilah end up in the bottom, which I mean eh, there was another couple girls who could’ve took Delilahs place but oh well, and Sirene goes home. We’ll miss you girl!
