I built the RG Force Impulse Gundam Spec 2 a few months ago as my first RG kit, and it was an interesting experience. Overall it’s a great kit with great articulation, and even as someone who has no particular inclination to ever watch Gundam Seed, it’s one of my favorite mobile suit designs from the series.
Despite it being on the latter half of the RG line, I should not have underestimated the build as being as simple or convenient as high grades. I had heard of the V fins being prone to snapping on the runner, so I made sure to take good care of those. And I remember having some trouble with assembling the chest, taking an odd amount of pressure to get it together at one point (don’t remember which part exactly). While it’s a solid kit, it definitely needs to be handled with more care than your average high grade kit.
But my biggest qualm is with the stickers/decals. The eye stickers are a NIGHTMARE compared to high grades, being flimsy and fiddly to even get in place, and the one I put on ended up with some of the green being scratched off in the process. Dealing with these makes me want to find the best set of gundam markers for eye painting any future RG kits. I also tried some of the decals, but after noticing how a good number didn’t fit nicely between segments or overlapped panel lines, I removed them and scrapped the plan to apply the decals entirely (if I have to trim decals, then I’ll just go all in on better quality water slide decals and top coating I guess, but that won’t be anytime soon…)
Still a really good kit! Will probably wait a bit until I buy another one.

Hg Demi Trainer, such a goofy but good grunt suit. I know it’s a suit only meant for training in the show, but it’s so funny that it just has a stick for melee.
It has a charm that makes it feel like a chibi robo type individual, a little helper guy that’ll go around your house picking up dropped pencils and trash.

Hg Guel’s Dilanza - good kit. Looked at this and said “You look easy to build,” and it was!
I’m not a bulky mobile suit connoisseur, but I still dig the overall look. I’ll probably end up liking the normal Dilanza better since the plastic feather plume on this looks a little goofy.

Gundam Aerial, my favorite HG I have built so far.
I did not mind the time I spent cleaning nubs and panel lining the Aerial at all, it comes together so cleanly. I love the proportions on this kit.
The red shoulder stickers were a little odd in not being one piece per shoulder, but trimming them a tiny bit helps them lay flush on each side without overlapping.
(I’ve been meaning to post this for a bit, as I’ve already built more kits, and doing this helps me get more out of each kit than just putting them back in a box to move on to another build)

Beguir-Beu from WfM prologue ✔️
Pretty good kit but is a little back heavy and wants to tip over, but overall unique design for an enemy mobile suit.
Kinda rushed through this kit to continue through my backlog, so not my best work with cleaning nub marks. I accidentally bent a c-clip on the foot but salvaged it with super glue. I decided to use the gray fine tip gundam marker for this whole kit, which was not ideal given how many large dark areas there are on the suit and orb weapons that don’t look great up close.
Working through these in rough order of show appearance/kit release, so gundam aerial will be next…

Built gundam lfrith, great kit 👍
Nothin crazy, just panel lined. The gray pour type marker is a little too dark, would like to try tamiya gray panel liner sometime.
I got a backlog of kits so maybe I post more idk
