Toddlers literally get a "sugar high" and it's coded to increase their motives and make them perform random animations.

They can get this feature by licking up chocolate puddles made by the Cuisine career reward. Has to be used by a Sim with low Cooking skill to leave the puddles!

The Sims 2 JRP Spreadsheet for keeping track of your Sims!

I was editing my personal spreadsheet today when it occured to me that maybe some of you would like to use something like this too, so here it is! It started as something deeply inspired by PleasantSims spreadsheet but evolved many times over the years to what you see today. HERE'S THE LINK !!! It's based off the Pleasantview families as an empty template, but please, use it however you'd like! There are notes for things that may be a little unclear, you can delete them by clicking the RMB on a cell with the note. JUST MAKE A COPY FOR YOURSELF AND YOU'RE GOOD TO GO... BUT! If you're not very familiar with Google spreadsheets and/or not going to read the whole post, I recommend reading this: -> On your own copy you can edit anything you want, just make sure to unmerge the cells that are in your way. -> There's no zodiac sign column - I don't feel the need to keep track of it, but if you do, just follow the first point (I recommend adding it after Orientation or Vibes, less unmerging :)) -> There's some conditional formatting (pics and more details below) but feel free to change the colors or even remove it altogether. -> One column (D) has a function! More details below but if you're scared/don't want to be bothered with it you can just ignore/delete it. -> It's designed to work with other sheets (not included), that's why you can see a hidden column at the end that just adds "1" to every cell. This allows you to (for example) create charts with your hood's overall genetics if you're crazy like me

GENERAL OVERVIEW AND HOW DOES IT WORK In the first pic you can see the whole spreadsheet with some information filled in as an example. First 3 rows are locked, meaning that you'll always see them no matter how far you may scroll! There's a lot of drop-down lists so you don't have to type in stuff like Aspirations, Turn-Ons/Offs, Hobbies, etc. You can of course edit them yourself by clicking the edit button at the end of the list! The yellow rows hold information about a whole household, below them are Sims that are currently in that household. Another yellow block means another family. You can add/drag/remove the rows with Sims to your liking (well, almost! If you want to use that function I mentioned earlier see "Second & Third Row" section"!) and if you want to add another household just copy and paste the yellow template.

FIRST ROW

Here I keep track of general informations about the whole hood: -> Day of the week -> Season -> Day - in connection to season (it used to mean an exact day of the season but I kept getting confused so now I just put there the number of days that are left of that season, a.k.a the information that the game directly gives me) -> Family tree - I know some of you (me included!) use various sites for family trees so here you can link it! -> Free space - for any notes you might have

SECOND & THIRD ROW

All the information I want to keep track of grouped into categories: Familial, Character, Romantic, Career, Hobby, Likes, Misc., Age and Genetics. I won't go over all of them, I think most of them speak for themselves. Here are some that may need additional info: -> GEN - simply generation. How you use it is entirely up to you (as this whole spreadsheet!) but if you need an inspiration see the first pic. -> Partner (F) - F means that there's a function involved! It's completely optional, you can just delete it along with the gray conditional formatting if you don't want it. How it works? If your Sim doesn't have an aspiration (so a child or below, you have to choose "N/A" in the Aspiration column) the cells in this column will automatically display "N/A". If a Sim has an aspiration, the cell will become gray to indicate that they're single and ready to mingle. If you want to input a name of a partner, I recommend clicking on the cell and putting it in the empty "" string. If you type straight into the cell you will delete the function for that cell. Similar to manually created rows - the function won't appear. No worries, you can copy it from a row above, just ensure that it has a correct row number (so a row number that you're currently on!). Is it revolutionary? No, but it was fun to learn! You can also change/delete the gray color by clicking the RMB on the column D and choosing Conditional Formating.

-> Personality & Vibes - the former I use to store one or more traits that the Sim has the most points in, the latter I use to additionally describe them as I see fit (examples in the first pic). If you think Vibes are unnecessary but you want to add Zodiac signs, I think this is the best place to put them as you just need to change the name of this column and you're done! -> Money & Notes - a place to keep track of your Sim's personal savings and notes -> Days until... - your Sim ages to the next age stage. Different with elders! I just input the number of days lived. -> Stage - here lies the other conditional formatting I made! Age stages are color-coded (pics are above), as with the other one, feel free to change/delete it.

HOUSEHOLD INFO - YELLOW ROWS First yellow row (merged) is the household name. In the second one you can find: -> Rotation - keep track of it however you like! I just use days played because I don't always play the same amount of days per round. -> Money - household funds -> Maid, Gardener, Nanny and Butler - do you also keep forgetting if your Sims have already hired the gardener or not? I do. I finally figured out a neat way to track it! Just tick/untick the box! -> Business - undo strike-through if the family has a business on a home/community lot -> Pets - nothing creative here, just some place to keep the information about the household's pets -> Notes - a place for your household notes! (there's never to many places for notes)

Okay, at this point you know EVERYTHING! *passes out*

Polygons are reduced as much as possible. Textures are no larger than 1024x1024 ( @evilmascotsblog please, those who make conversions, do not upload 2048 textures, it clutters up the game).

Strange Woods/Dziwny Bór - Custom The Sims 2 Neighborhood

So, um, hi. Believe it or not but this is my first ever post on Tumblr. I am here to share my custom TS2 neighborhood - first of many to come, I hope.

This is the very first neighborhood I have ever created for other people so some mistakes are bound to be there. Still, it was very heavily playtested by my dear and amazing sister Julia and I made a lot of improvements based on her feedback. I love her so much and I would never make this if it wasn't for her.

Several decades ago, the residents of Strange Woods woke up, not remembering who they were or where they came from. Although many years have passed, they all seem to belong to a different world. Unfortunately, there is no going back to those days and they must build their lives in this strange place. Will they manage to find happiness, or, entangled in scandals, will they bring disaster upon themselves?

Ten playable families, custom townies, custom community lots. All builds made by me, all sims made with custom sliders and/or born in-game.

Every family includes some drama - if you love scandals, affairs and family secrets - this neighborhood is for you!

Edited to add: all families start on Monday around 9 am. This may mean they're missing school/work. I'm sorry for the inconvenience but you can still send them there late.

There's loooots of easter eggs, all residents and some townies have bios, some lots have hidden secrets - try to uncover them all!

This neighborhood is CC-free but some townies have hair/clothes from TS2 Store. If you don't want to download that, no worries - it will just be randomly replaced. It shouldn't affect the game in any way.

You don't need any mods to play this hood but I recommend getting some population controlling mods to make sure you can take advantage of the custom townies shipped with Strange Woods.

The neighborhood was created in Polish and then translated - there may be some mistakes or something I missed and left in Polish. I apologize if it happened. Please let me know if you find that so I can fix and update.

There's definitely some content from the Ikea pack. I can't really tell how much so I recommend having it installed. It still should be playable without it tho but you may need to replace some stuff.

Dziwny Bór - Otoczenie The Sims 2

Hej! Wierzcie lub nie, ale to mój pierwszy post na Tumblrze ever. Chcę podzielić się moim otoczeniem do TS2 - pierwszym z wielu, mam nadzieję.

To pierwsze otoczenie, jakie kiedykolwiek stworzyłam dla innych ludzi, więc na pewno znajdzie się kilka błędów. Mimo to, zostało ono bardzo dokładnie przetestowane przez moją kochaną i niesamowitą siostrę Julię i wprowadziłam wiele ulepszeń na podstawie jej feedbacku. Bardzo ją kocham i nigdy by mi się nie udało tego dokończyć, gdyby nie ona.

Kilkadziesiąt lat temu mieszkańcy Dziwnego Boru obudzili sie, nie pamiętając, kim są ani skąd się wzięli. Choć minęło wiele lat, każdy z nich wydaje się należeć do innego świata. Niestety, do tamtych dni nie ma już powrotu i muszą ułożyć sobie życie w tym dziwacznym miejscu. Czy uda im się znaleźć szczęście, czy też zaplątani w skandale sprowadzą na siebie katastrofę?

Dziesięć grywalnych rodzin, customowi townie, customowe parcele publiczne. Wszystko zbudowane przeze mnie, wszystkie simy wykonane z niestandardowymi suwakami i/lub urodzone w grze.

Każda rodzina ma w sobie trochę dramy - jeśli kochasz skandale, romanse i rodzinne sekrety - to otoczenie jest dla Ciebie!

MIESZKAŃCY:

Edit: wszystkie rodziny zaczynają w poniedziałek ok. 9 rano. To oznacza, że niektórzy opuszczają szkołę/pracę. Przepraszam, jeśli sprawi to kłopot, ale można ich posłać później.

W mieście jest ogrom easter eggów, wszyscy mieszkańcy i niektórzy townie mają biografie, niektóre parcele mają specjalne sekrety - mam nadzieję, że odkryjesz je wszystkie!

Nie ma tu żadnego CC, ale niektórzy townie mają włosy/ubrania ze store TS2. Jeśli nie masz ochoty go pobierać, to nie ma sprawy - brakujące elementy zostaną to po prostu losowo zastąpione przez grę. Nie powinno to mieć żadnego wpływu na grywalność.

Nie potrzeba żadnych modów, żeby grać w tym otoczeniu, ale polecam zainstalować coś kontrolującego populację, żeby móc wykorzystać w pełni customowych townies z Dziwnego Boru.

Jeśli wolisz grać po angielsku - nie ma problemu, ale chcę zaznaczyć, że simowie mają różne imiona i nazwiska między wersjami, a otoczenie było tworzone po polsku, więc mogą pojawić się błędy lub braki w tłumaczeniu, za co przepraszam.

Zdecydowanie użyłam jakiejś zawartości z Ikei. Nie potrafię powiedzieć ile, więc zalecam posiadanie go. Nie powinno być problemu z grywalnością bez tego pakietu, ale może być konieczna wymiana niektórych rzeczy.

New to Tumblr, old to The Sims 2

Hi there! SO SO SO HAPPY to join you all here! Please bare with me, though I'm not even 30 yet, I feel like over 60 when I'm using a new app... SO, WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM ME? -> Gameplay updates! I currently play in Riverblossom Hills and am closing on 50 days played rotationally across all 20 families! Besides families that already live in the hood I play with the Teatherthon (duh!), Ramaswami and Ottomas households as well as all premade students from Académie Le Tour. Furthermore, I created a shopping district - Magnolia Promenade (yep, stole that one from TS4 but just the name!). It's an ongoing work in progress, here are some pics:

-> Custom careers! I'm completely new to modding but careers seem fairly easy to do. So far on my list are the following: - firefighter - engineer - IT worker - veterinarian ....and more! :) I know that some of them might have been already created by someone, but I plan to put my own spin on them. I will post the careers with detailed description for each career level so you'll know what you're getting! Also any advice/warnings etc are welcome!
