In our editorial office, the Galaxy A51 was successfully delayed after the review, and the arrived Redmi Note 9 Pro was able to keep him company. These models differ slightly in characteristics and price, but in aggregate they compete with each other, falling into the niche of smartphones with good equipment and not very high prices. Therefore, buyers are now often faced with a choice between these two devices, so let's see how they perform in a direct comparison. To simplify the task, at the end of each section, a score from 1 to 5 points will be given, as a result, we will derive from them the overall score for the Galaxy A51 and Redmi Note 9 Pro. Contents of delivery Both smartphones come in small cardboard boxes with their own images, but the bundle is slightly different. With the Galaxy A51, the manufacturer is offering a 15W power supply, USB Type-C cable, and a wired headset. The Redmi 9 Pro has a similar package, Xiaomi has a 33 W charger with a USB Type-C cable and a transparent silicone case in the box, there are no headsets or headphones. It turns out that Samsung provides the ability to immediately listen to music from a smartphone, while the Chinese manufacturer offers additional protection for the case. But Xiaomi also plays into the hands of a more powerful power supply in the kit, which allows you to charge the device faster. Rating: Galaxy A51 - 4 points, Redmi 9 Pro - 4.5 points. Design and materials From the front, both smartphones have a view with relatively thin bezels and a selfie camera located in the holes at the top of the display. But if you look closely, the differences are immediately evident. I'll start with the most obvious thing - size. The Redmi 9 Pro is slightly larger, with a 6.67-inch display versus the 6.5-inch in the Galaxy A51. Accordingly, Xiaomi has a larger body, its dimensions are 165.75x76.68x8.8 mm, and weighs 20 grams. The device from Samsung turned out to be more compact and lighter - 158.5x73.6x7.9 mm and weighing 172 grams. The screen in the Galaxy A51 occupies 87.4% of the front panel, in the Redmi Note 9 Pro - 84.5%, the frames in it are larger, this is especially noticeable on the lower part. Therefore, in general, the Korean manufacturer's smartphone looks neater on the front side, including due to a more compact cutout for a selfie camera. The design of the back panel used a pattern to visually separate the manufacturer. The camera laptop is designed differently than the Galaxy A51. Nevertheless, in A51 the camera practically does not protrude from the body, while in Redmi cameras it is quite large, its complete case barely smooths it out. The body materials in the models are slightly different. The Galaxy A51 uses a plastic frame and back cover, while the Redmi Note 9 Pro also uses a plastic frame but a glass cover. The display of both smartphones is covered by a protective glass. Perhaps the device for someone the plastic in the A51 will seem a minus, but users who will wear it in a case will not notice the difference with glass. At the same time, without a metal frame, the glass in Xiaomi does not increase the strength of the case, but affects its weight and thickness. In general, as already written above, the Galaxy A51 case looks neater next to the Redmi Note 9 Pro, it has a smaller frame, a more compact camera cutout and the camera block protrudes less.
