Hey Adria, you did say your name was 'complicated', so now I'm curious. What is it, how's it actually pronounced? 👀

ADRIA: "In Croatia and the Balkans in general, we speak how we write. No silly pronounciation rules like most, we have one way to say each consonant and wowel, and that's how it's written. For example, unlike "Ža/Zha" or "Dža/Dzha," we only say "Ja."

JAQUELINE: "So, by your rules, the way Trailer and Lorry were pronouncing my name up until recently, "Yacqueline," is more correct than the correct French pronounciation?"

ADRIA: "Exactly! Just also say the "E" at the end instead of swallowing it and you have your name's Croatian pronounciation."

JAQUELINE: "Ooh! I want to try saying your name. "Jaaa... drrra..." Oof, your R's are hard to pronounce."

ADRIA: "That's because you're French and you've learned to pronounce it differently."

JAQUELINE: "Huh... how do you say it then?"

ADRIA: "Simple. "Jadranka." I still don't see what's so hard about reading how it's written..."

I mean no offense to Jaqueline... But WHY is it pronounced Zha-que-lean instead of JA-que-lean

JAQUELINE: "Because it's French! I'm a French pup, just like Adria is Croatian."

ADRIA: "Aren't poodles German though..."

JAQUELINE: "My breeds origins have nothing to do with where I'm from. I was born into a very nice French family! 'Tis why my accent is like zis too."
