It was just a random dinner with friends and found this good ramen place where you can get unlimited ramen refill for FREE! 哥哥の拉面Kyodai Ramen Restaurant located in Kimberly Street Penang does surprised me with their food where you can have extremely fluffy Tamagoyaki cook upon order and many sides available. We ordered Tonkotsu Ramen, Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen and Kyodai Special(spicy) Ramen. They are all priced around RM25 per bowl and we were very satisfied with the food. Another hidden gem found today is the very smooth braised chicken rice secretly located in the Kompleks Desiran Tanjung located in Seri Tanjung Pinang, Tanjung Tokong area. This place house many good eateries such as the famous Kacang Phool by Nazzeera’s I’ve featured many years ago and it is still great as usual. Ordered the Garlic Cheese Toast with Kacang Phool for RM14.50 per set which is really filling. Kokokay’s chicken rice is what people usually queue for, the very smooth braised chicken and fragrant rice is something you will really fall in love with. Chicken rice with wings at RM6 and drumsticks at RM6.50, cheap and good. One of the best GuyFun(Chicken Rice) in Tanjung Bungah area would be none other than this Ang Liang Hock Chicken Rice located in Tanjung Bungah Market that opens from morning until lunch. The humble old couple serves very good chicken rice as well as some side dishes available. Penang lang’s favourite tea time? Definitely Lok Lok! This Padang Lok Lok located in Padang Brown(roadside) is my favourite stall for lok lok since childhood and I still love it until today. Though not much choices but it is the feeling that keeps me revisiting. This is a must when you visit the other side of Penang, which is the Bukit Mertajam area. The well known Ah Heng Duck Egg Char Koay Teow in Jalan Kampung Baru is the original Duck Egg Char Koay Teow that got famous in BM area before there are so many other stalls opened up. Now they have two more stalls managed by different siblings scattered around BM area hence you can visit either one of them to grab this. The char koay teow here comes with person Wok Hei and together with an additional duck egg sunny side up and extra pork lards makes it so perfect ❤️ Do expect long waiting time because they do not really mass produce their char koay teow, only fry one by one or a few plates at once. Bei Gong Cha 北宫茶饮 has been here in Penang for a while but I’ve finally get to try it. The names of the drinks are quite interesting such as 害羞姑娘(Peach Oolong Milk Tea with Salt Milk Foam), 白里透红(Peach Oolong), and 娇小玲珑(Jasmine Green Milk Tea with Salt Milk Foam) The drinks are quite smooth and the cafe is not a bad place for hang out with your friends. It is not easy to find a good Jook Sing Mee (bamboo noodle) in Penang and this random stall I’ve tried in JJ Garden Food Court located in Tanjung Bungah is surprisingly so good. The tangy noodle paired with juicy prawn + pork wantan is the key to this bowl of yumminess. You can see how big and juicy the wantan is and each wantan comes with a generous amount of prawn in it that you can taste it in every bite. After so many years, I’ve finally get to have Spicy Soup again which is something I am unable to find in Penang. The spicy soup in Restaurant Serdang Kien Kee is definitely good and so damn satisfying that I just cant get enough. Everything was great except the slightly rude service. It is not easy to find good roast pork in Penang. This one in New World Park Food City is definitely one of my best find so far. You get to choose which part you want, which I went for the pork belly part with balanced fat and lean meat, the crispy skin and everything is just so perfect.
