So, a while ago someone mentioned doing a Veilguard survey and then... just didn’t. And unfortunately for everyone, I actually do this kind of thing professionally. Sooo, guess what:

The whole thing is propaganda, and it's so damn annoying.

- They promote their new resort.

- It's pro tourism.

- Lilo tells Nani that she's "so smart she should join the marines". 🤮

- Lilo is a burden and holding Nani back (apparently)

- Nani gives up custody of Lilo (I don't give af that she has a portal gun, it's stupid af)

- Nani leaves Hawaii to go to college in another state (Hey native Hawaiians! Leave your home to pursue "a better life" on the mainland!)

- They got rid of "The Ugly Duckling" story. You know the story that causes stitch to reflect on his existence and helps to kickstart the changes within himself. They just scrapped it.

- Jumba is just straight up the villain (for some reason)

the more i hear abt that lilo n stitch remake the more im like oh this isn’t just like. a bad remake it’s actually deeply deeply evil in a way that i hope reaps some sort of cosmic punishment

I do feel a little crazy and a tiny bit uncomfortable when people assign Inquisition Harding a level of matureness when criticizing Veilguard without engaging with the fact that she's like 19 in that game. I think folks are mistaking professionalism for maturity and not actually engaging very much with, like... the implications of making a literal teenager the head of a major aspect of a cult's standing army.

An interesting aspect of being both a BG3 and Veilguard enthusiast is watching the discourse unfold from both sides. On one hand, you see people complaining that the female characters in Veilguard are too nice and need to be more flawed. On the other, there are folks who think Shadowheart is too mean, Lae’zel is too rude, and Karlach is too annoying.
