Kind of lost interest in Ellie Goulding when she released her album/started sounding like any other “pop star” out there, but this new jam really reminds me of the earliest demos which amazed me (and which is why I fell in love with her in the first place. She decided to hook up with Xaphoon Jones (instead of her usual buddy/producer Starsmith) to cover The Weeknd’s High For This. The result? Flawless. (via)

Diplo- Barely Standing (feat. Datsik & Sabi) “Oh shit.” There’s always that “Oh shit” moment. You know the one. When you throw down that Bukowski novel you’ve been reading for the third time and throw your ass onto that dance floor. “When that beat drops/That’s when I get low/Give it to me raw/Give it to me slow.” Oh baby. Diplo’s new Express Yourself EP is full of “Oh shit” moments. And it certainly shows up anyone who would go so far as to say he isn’t one of the most relevant and consistent producers around these days. Blackberry commercials withstanding. And hey, he even has good taste in Tumblr camwhores.
