Basically, since in the regular au Fierce discovers listening to Megadeth to cope with her problems as a kid and it becomes her special interest, in this au it doesn't happen like that as rather than going through physical trauma she's simply ignored by the world.

She's more obsessed with progressive metal and metal opera in this au btw, so dream theater is a good fit

It makes me imagine how Dee describes her. "Standing on the sidelines, watching through the looking glass" is like he's constantly seeing her everywhere he goes, since she is always doing crazy shit to get people's attention.
