It frustrates me so much this idea that if you're in a relationship, specifically a monogamous relationship, your partner(s)' sex life and your sex life are one and the same.

It becomes so much more prominent in religious (specifically christian) communities but its outside that too and its very obviously where these ideas like "masturbating is cheating" or "looking at porn is cheating" or "if you're attracted to or think of literally anyone else in a sexual context besides me ever you are cheating" comes from.

Which is so frustrating! Just because your partner(s) is part of your sex life does not mean your sex life has to be your partner(s)'. They can be separate in so many different ways! In fact, for plenty of people, that's a necessity!

It's literally fine if your partner(s) wants to do sexual things outside of what you do together. Your sex life and their sex life are not automatically the same thing just because you're dating!

And stop accusing people of "cheating" because they masturbate, watch porn and/or are attracted/fantasize about other people! That's not what "cheating" means!

It's not just an unrealistic ideal, it's harmful to people's relationships and autonomy and their connection to sex as a whole. It also leaves no room for compromise, or acknowledging past relationships, or exploring the fact you have a life outside of what you do with your partner.

I can’t remember I ever told y’all about the prank I pulled on my costar the last day of Faire last year, but I’m sad and miss my friends, so I’m gonna tell you again.

Okay so. It’s traditional that on the last day of Faire, the show goes a little off the rails due to the cast’s final-day pranks on each other. Faire management hates it, so we’re not technically supposed to do it, but, like…they never quite manage to stop us.

Anyway, last year, I was playing one of the lead villains. I was the second in command of the viking king, and it took approximately ten seconds for everyone to start shipping our characters. There’s at least one ship every year that gets popular, and that year, it was us. The vibe was 100% “Viking Mom and Viking Dad are getting a Viking Divorce and the berserkers are stuck in the middle of a custody battle.” Like, five minutes after opening gate one day, I had a patron strike up conversation with me about how I needed to get a better man, lmfao.

By the end of the show, my character betrayed the king and joined the Good Guys, and I got this epic showdown with him at the end where I kick his ass and get in a one-liner.

So for my last-day prank, I replaced my usual one-liner by just full-volume screaming, “And the divorce is FINAL!!!!”

The audience, and the rest of the cast, lost their absolute shit.

Haven't really seen anyone on here talking about it, so:

If you have psychosis, do not use ChatGPT or any other AI model to do reality checking. They're trained to agree with the user, say things to encourage further discussion/input, and in general provide "customer satisfaction." So if you ask if the moon is made of green cheese and seem really intense about it, the AI is gonna tell you it might be a possibility just to keep you happy as a customer.

Hopefully I'm preaching to the choir and everybody is leaving AI alone for mental health issues, but an AI program's willingness to go along with whatever the user is saying and exacerbate a mental health crisis is becoming a serious problem for the mentally ill. Researchers are currently studying it.
