As for my drawing not being the best quality I would like it to have, I just got an ultrasound on my left wrist to see if it’s possibly broken, or partially dislocated yesterday, and my wrist still hurts from that.

This is more of a hopeful thought than a confession, but I’ve seen a lot of posts expecting Lia to have natural hair like Sean in the spin-off. Narratively, though, that wouldn’t really make sense, especially if season 2 picks up right after the finale (unless there's a time skip, I guess).

With Sean, his hair change feels more like a soft retcon, like ‘oh, he’s had twists all along, there weren’t any black hair styles in gacha life.’ But Lia’s hair is different. It means something. It’s canon that she literally straightened her hair when she became friends with Zoey. There’s even that flashback in episode 8 where she has braided, curly hair. She literally changed everything about herself to fit in with her white peers. So if her hair just suddenly changed back to natural off-screen, it would feel like a disservice to her arc.

Also, I noticed a lot of the people making these comments probably don’t know much about Black hair. Like… Lia was probably relaxing or silk-pressing her hair for most of her life. Going natural takes time. There’s heat damage, there’s a whole process to it. I don’t think she’d make that kind of drastic change right after the finale. It would be a journey, not a snap decision!!!

Tldr: PLSS NO OFF SCREEN HAIR CHANGE PLSSS MAKE IT A PLOT POINT, JUST ONE SCENE ROSY PLSS!!!!

hailia is literally drake except hailia was torn apart when lia started lying about who she is and drake was torn apart when jake became honest about his true self

But it's the same In theory. They (drew and Hailey) have both drifted apart from who they cared about once they saw the other change for the better or the worse. once their perception of the other changed, and the way they viewed them was challenged with harshness that would indefinitely break them apart. but hailey will deep down always know who Lia truly is, from the genuine bond they've once shared, while drew felt like he just realized he was friends with a stranger for so long, never actually having known him for who he actually is.

both suffer from dishonesty and shame. for drake it actually wasn't the truth that tore them apart, it was the exposition (is that the right word) of the lies that always layed beneath it all. The honesty about the long lived dishonesty that was always there

Jake is most like Lia and Hailey is most like Drew for obvious reasons. But for Hailia it was Lia who abandoned Hailey, and chose a lie over her and their true bond. While in the context of Drake it was Drew who made the ultimate decision to leave Jake (despite the expectation to choose being set on Jake during the whole season), and in a way choosing the truth over the lie their bond was - or rather, choosing not to indulge in such lie any further.

So in a way the roles are mixed up a little
