Found more concept art from the unfortunately unmade Blomkamp sequel! I love the top one! The second one makes me nervous and there is a third further along in the video these came from (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2YNiNZJ4xU&t=4s&ab_channel=MrHReviews ) that shows Hicks trying to stop this icky-poo creature from getting into his throat that I didnt want to post (made me feel bad!) but if you want to see it just go see the video. But the sight of Hicks and Ripley together just makes me swoon and sigh!

I rarely post sketches but I really love sketching and my sketchbook is full of little drawings like this one ^^

They were my first ship, too! In fact, I would GLADLY sacrifice finding someone to spend the rest of my life with as long as these two get together on screen!!!

It’s so funny that my husband decided to watch Aliens this evening.  It made me remember that that movie held my very first fandom ship!  Even though at the time I knew nothing of “fandom” or of “Shipping” I just knew I loved Ellen Ripley and Corporal Hicks together.

I remember being heartbroken to find out in the beginning of Alien 3 that Hicks and Newt hadn’t survived.  (Though now there is speculation that Hicks did in fact survive and that he will be appearing in the Alien 5 project)

Anyway…. I hadn’t thought of that couple in years and completely forgot they were my first true ship!
