Hi, guys! My name’s Marley, and I’m really excited to be here! Finally had the time to make an account in between flights and crazy nights. I’m currently in Matsudo fresh from a performance in Tokyo, and I just might stay here for Mr. Osamu Tomita alone.
Oh, and if I, at any point, seem starstruck then it’s probably because I am.
Oh, hey! I’m Jeff, it’s awesome to meet you. Tokyo? That sounds exciting. Are you getting to do a lot of sight seeing while you’re over there?
Totally understandable It’s pretty impossible not to get starstruck here. I think on the inside we’re all just secret fan boys and girls.

You know, planning another world tour is exhausting, why can’t I just do little shows here and there for right now? I literally just dropped my album.
When are you planning for it to start? Any chance you can take a little break for yourself before you get non-stop busy? I know tours are stressful. That’s why I’ve been taking a hiatus.

Emily: Yeah, sure, we can get coffee. I mean, I do drink it so why not.
Emily: And I'll be honest, I really didn't want to see you because I wasn't ready to forgive you.
Jeff: I’m not asking you to forgive me. Not right away. I just want a chance.
Jeff: So I’ll see you then.

Yep! It was the first name I thought of lol. He is a fur-ball if I don’t get him groomed. I am sure you will find the perfect dog for you, they are really good and feeling out matches for potential best friends and they put it.
That’s cute, what kind is he? Thank you, I hope that’s the case. I’ll let you know if one adopts me.

Even if they’re not excitable, they seem like very friendly and serene animals than not. I suppose to their core all dogs are pure and without any ill will. Marvin does work, yes, he’s my service dog so when we’re out and he has his vest on, he shifts into “work mode”.
I understand that sentiment; it’s unfortunate that there are animals that can’t find a home yet people continue breeding them. I hope that you find a good friend there– one thing is for certain is that a friend made there will be your loyal friend for life.
That’s the best thing about dogs. Cats are good too, but dogs feel more genuine to me, I don’t know. He must be a smart boy then. Service dogs are the best kind of dogs, they help more than people realize.
That’s sad to me. I get the appeal of wanting certain dogs, but I also don’t know if I believe in breeding them like that. It’s better to just choose from the ones who do need homes. That’s what I’m hoping for, thanks for the support, man. I’ll be sure to keep you updated if I do end up with one. I’m Jeff, by the way.

I want one eventually, honestly. I’d feel bad dragging a dog around with me everywhere I go. Maybe I’ll give it some thought now I’m off my tour and I’ll be home for a little longer. I’ve never owned a dog before, but one of my friends growing up did and I loved it!
Yes! This is perfect. I’d definitely spoil it, but I’d never want the dog to like me more than you. It’s your dog.
You’ll know when it’s the right time. It gets too quiet at my place at night, so I thought a dog would be perfect. And I have the time for it now too, so it worked out. How’re things going now that you’re off tour, by the way? Are you enjoying the break?
Okay, maybe that was a slight exaggeration, but if you spoil it, it is going to like you a lot. I’m going to spoil it a hell of a lot too, though, so I’m not worried. I just bought a dog toy yesterday and I don’t even have the dog yet.

I’m a bit dramatic about the whole love at first sight thing. I never know how you can’t fall in love as soon as you see them. But if it doesn’t happen, trust me, you will fall eventually. I’ve had Macie (Golden Retriever) for 3 years, Lucky (brown and white Beagle cross) for 2 years, and Jackpot (Boston Terrier) for 1 year. What kind of dog are you looking to get?
I wouldn’t call you dramatic, maybe you just have a lot of love to give to a lot of dogs. That’s pretty respectable if you ask me. Aw, man, you’re lucky. You sound like you love them a lot, I hope I’m that lucky when I go to the shelter. I’m really not sure, to be honest with you. Something small, definitely. I love big dogs, but I have to travel a lot and plan to take it with me. So I thought small would be easier, you know?

There’s nothing wrong with doing a little research at first though either. No problem, man. So long as you give lots of love and attention, I think you can handle it. I have a dog– he’s a German Shepard mix. Named him Dodger, like from Oliver and Company.
The idea is to get a smaller one so I can take it around with me, so hopefully the thing’ll get a ton of attention. That’s the best name, you’re setting him up for cool-ness with that one. Ever think of getting a small orange tabby to go along with him?

I have no idea what you just said but whatever. Most hotels that do accept pets would prefer it be a small dog as well. Small but tough, huh? Well, then you might want a Bull Terrier. But you’d want a miniature one for sure– like the Target dog. Of course I think you’re uncultured, that’s my default for everyone because everyone is a moron. Yes, google is your friend for seeing what dog breeds look like but don’t rely on everyone there for advice because most of them are idiots who wouldn’t know a dog from a squirrel. I don’t, actually. I do want one, though. I just haven’t found the one.
Bull Terrier, that sounds cute. Having the target dog as a pet would be awesome. Maybe I’m a little uncultured, but you’re opening my eyes to new dogs, so I’m not all that concerned. I think I’m going to go to shelters first and see which one jumps at me, then probably do my breed research so I understand it better. Have you ever thought about going to the shelters too? They might not be pure bred, but you might find one you like.

Emily: If you say so. But, yeah, I want that too.
Emily: Yeah, you can. But like, give me a day or two after I get home so I can unwind. But, yeah, you can see me then.
Jeff: Alright, we can get coffee or something when you're up for it. I just want to get to the point to where we can be humans without lawyers, you know?
Jeff: I'll be honest they kinda make me nervous

Goddard from Jimmy Neutron because he’s a freaking robot dog and then Scooby Doo because he solves crimes and knows how to make an epic sandwich. But I guess Dino from the Flintstones is really cool too because he’s a literal dinosaur dog and that’s just… bruh, having a dinosaur dog? That’d be insane!
Yeah, having my very own dog would be totally amazing but, like, sometimes when I party I forget to feed myself until my stomach growls and yells at me “Feed Me!” and it’s just me so that’s no big deal but I can’t do that to a dog that hadn’t done nothing wrong, you know what I mean? But man, it would be the most epic thing possible if I had my own Clifford the Big Red Dog. Maybe when you get your dog I could like, babysit first before I go all-out and get my own ‘cause God knows I don’t got the skills to be a dog dad yet.
Okay...you got me there, those are all very good dogs. That would be awesome. Huh. You ever wonder if Clifford is so big because he comes from a long line of Dinosaur dogs? Clifford might be prehistoric, dude.
That’s scary because when you party is when you need to eat. Remind me to sneak some protein bars into your pockets the next time I see you. I see your point, though. That’s okay, dude, you can definitely babysit and get your fill of dog-petting. I’ll pre-fill some food bowls beforehand and trust me, it’ll be fine.

Okay, first off congratulations on becoming a dog daddy. Secondly, you don’t pick the dog, the dog picks you. I don’t make the rules. I got my little fluff cause my mom’s friend ended up fostering some pups and I helped her one summer and I fell in love with my boy. You can look at breeds, but what you should do is go to the animal shelter with me and we can find you perfect pup there, okay?
Thank you, I think it’s about time I grow up and adopt. Who am I to go against the rules? Hopefully one wants to choose me. Gwen, I love your dog son, you got so lucky. Let’s definitely do that, you might spot a good dog before I do. And you never know, you could fall in love with another one yourself. Are you free this weekend for it?

I approve! What kind of dog are you getting? I bet it’s going to be fuckin’ adorable.
Do it! I’ll come with you, dude.
I have no idea, but definitely something small, but angry looking. Like a small bulldog or something. But I’m just going to go and see who I bond with. I’m told that’s the best way to do it.
Yeah, you should definitely come along! I’m shooting for this weekend, if you’re free. My friend Gwen might too, so we can all go and try not to take all the dogs home together.

Emily: You know why that was hard for me to do.
Emily: But, I am willing to try I suppose. But if you hurt me like that again I'm done. So you better be serious and understand it's going to take me a while to trust you, but I want to. I want to trust you.
Emily: In a couple days.
Jeff: I know.
Jeff: I’m not going to do that again. I know you can’t trust me right now, but I want to get there. Whether we do the song or not
Jeff: Can I see you then?

I have three dogs, and let me tell you, the whole process is as stressful as adopting a child, in my opinion. Though I don’t have kids of my own so I don’t know what I’m talking about. Anyway, I feel that when you are choosing the pup, you will know which one to get. It’s like a connection or spark that let’s you know this is the one. But if you don’t feel that, and you pick a pup anyway, that connection and bond will come. I rescued two older dogs and one pup. One is huge and two are smaller. With big dogs, it’s all about the space, and if you have room.
No, I think you know exactly what you’re talking about. Dogs are basically small furry children, they’re a ton of responsibility. It’s a stressful thing for me personally, since I’ve never had one before. So I have to wait for that love-at-first sight feeling? That’s good advice. I just hope I don’t have that feeling with multiple dogs and end up coming home with an army of them, that’d be way too much for me since I have to travel a lot for work. Three is a good number, though. How long have you had yours for?

Oh, I completely agree! But I’m also a bit biased because I actually have a retriever, so you might also want a second opinion on that. Just like in the movie, retrievers really are that loyal too… But then again, any dog you have will be your companion for life if you treat it right. My dog’s name is Marvin and I’ve had him for a little over two years now. He’s quiet and well-behaved but when he’s not working he’s a playful pup.
You could go to a no-kill shelter; it’ll give you the peace of mind knowing if you leave empty-handed, none of the animals you’ve met will have any harm come to them. Admittedly, I’d probably face the same dilemma you’re fearing, though.
Retrievers look like good dogs, they always look like they’re smiling too, so how can you not love them? Wait a minute here, Marvin works? What does he do?
That’s true! But I think I’d want to go to a place where the dogs need more urgent homes, you know? I might just suck it up and go this weekend, here’s hoping one wants to come home with me.
