Everyday I wake up, and I think to myself: I am going to be a nice person today.

Predictions are fun!

What is your prediction for the future?

Mine is kinda dark, and goes in steps.

First, the US will be thrown into an economic depression in the near future.

This will make people desperate, more so then ever before, as housing prices soar to unreachable levels for 40% or more of the population.

This will trigger a greater sense of nationalism, at least for MAGA, and not wanting to spend money in other countries. Therefor, we will see the president shut down military bases across Europe (and other parts of the world) in an "effort to save money". However, this is not the reason for retracting troops.

During the summer of 202X, the United States will invade one of its closest neighbours on the North American continental socket. Watch it be some kind of "freedom" mentioned in the reason for this.

I believe this will trigger Article 5, unless they choose Mexico - which is unlikely.

However, Europe will be busy. At the same time as the invasion by the US, Russia will strike a neighbouring NATO country also triggering Article 5. I believe this will be done by going through Belarus, into one of its many neighbours, or attacking the artic regions of Scandinavia. As these are not well developed in terms of defense, or infrastructure.

This double attack will leave Europe defending itself, making North America vulnerable to being taken over by Donald Trump, who is now acting as a dictator.

In the future, the period between the fall of the Soviet union/ Berlin wall and to around 2018 - 2020 will be referred to as the Golden Age of the 21st century. Marked by a largely united, and interconnected, global community.

This (interconnected, global community) will fall around 203X. At least for North America, who will retract into an isolationist period until the overthrowment of Donald Trump and the MAGA cronies is succefull.

After this, there will be a change in global powers. I believe with the recent fall of the American Hegemony - we will see the Chinese take their place as the world trade and peacekeepers.

During this, we will see the change to a new world currency.

I am not going to tag this, as it is just a hypothetical. And I really do not want it to happen.
