hi i'm edward. apparently we have a blog now. i'm gonna fulfill my role of annoying sibling now

percy? our host? that guy that drives our body around like a drunk, wet, sad raccoon? the guy who's personality is having a dr pepper addiction?

he's a fucking liar. a fake fan, if you will. he named himself after his favorite book series character, Percy Jackson, and he never even fucking finished reading them.

that's right. this dumbass owns the entire series, both pjo and heroes of olympus. he displays them proudly on the bookshelf and waxes poetry about how good they are every chance he gets, but that last book is untouched. Hasn't even been cracked open. says he hates endings and if he doesn't finish it, then it never ended. but every time someone asks him about it, he lies out of his ass and says it was "sooo good! I loved it so much, highly recommend!" liar. he has no idea what happened in it.

he did the same thing with watching Doctor Who. And Sherlock. And Merlin. That ones the worst, he didn't even touch the entire last season. He has not seen any of season 5. Instead he looked up a summary of every episode and just read the spark notes version of what happened so he could go read fanfiction about it and not be confused.

anyways, that's this week's episode of System Callouts, next week I'll tell you about the dumb shit Link did with a soda bottle and a bright red flannel shirt.

i wish more of you would understand that alter roles are just common archetypes of ways that alters can present, and not definitive boxes that all of your parts MUST fit into. not every system comes with a set host, persecutor, protector, gatekeeper, etc. and the roles of host, persecutor, protector, gatekeeper, etc. (ie how they operate within your system and what they do) will look different for every system, too.

and, you don't have to know every alter's role. you don't have to immediately understand the exact intricacies over why all of your parts exist and what they're doing to be valid. trying to force your parts to fit into boxes of how they should be instead of trying to understand them as they are does way more harm than good. just saying.

If your 'disability activism' is based in "weeding out the fakers", you're actually just an ableist who makes the life of the "real disabled people" you claim to support even harder. There is nothing to be won for the disabled community in insisting that we all have to prove our disabilities and face ableist scrutiny all the time

4:30 am is the absolute worst time to be browsing tumblr. not because it's a bad experience, mind you. It's an absolutely delightful experience.

and that's the problem. because in my sleepless, addled brain, everything becomes abhorrently funnier than it should be. and it is Late TM. people are sleeping, and laughter is unfortunately loud and difficult to contain when you don't even have the whereabouts to walk to the kitchen for a glass of water in a straight line.

anyways, take from that what you will, but i think it's time i sleep away the hysterical joy and merriment. i think this is what being drunk feels like
